BALLER MOVE: Avoid in all leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Will a change at offensive coordinator help Gabe Davis be more consistent on a game-to-game basis? It seems unlikely, but we can always hold out hope, right?
In exactly half of his 10 games this season, Davis has been under 10 PPR fantasy points, including a goose egg in Week 9. He's scored over 20 points in three contests. One of his duds came in Week 1 against this same New York Jets team.
New York cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed both grade in the top five of PFF's coverage metric. Davis also doesn't have a strong history of playing this division rival. The ex-Central Florida Knight has 10 catches in his last four contests against Gang Green.
The matchup gives fantasy managers with Davis on their roster an escape route. The chances of Davis exploding on benches are low this week. Sit him across all formats and there should be no disappointed managers when the final whistle sounds on Sunday.
