Last night we had yet another series of games in the opening round of the in-season tournament. A bunch of these teams now have to turn and play again tonight including the Mavs, Magic, Sixers, Hawks, T-Wolves, and Lakers.
I hope you have been tailing my betting picks teammate Josh Wiesel's picks, too, as he has been off to a nice start. I handled the picks on Monday, as we finished 1-1-1 with a push from the Bulls on their spread, while we hit the underdog teaser and lost the ML parlay (thanks, Cavs!)
In this article, I'll be providing my favorite picks against the spread, game totals, parlays, and teasers for the first full NBA slate of the season that tips off at 7:00 PM EST on Wednesday, November 15. Follow me for more NBA bets and daily insights @ThunderDanDFS!
NBA Betting Picks: Game Totals
New York Knicks (-1) @ Atlanta Hawks (228 total)
The Knicks did well for us on Monday, holding the Celtics in check as we comfortably hit the under in that game. The Knicks continue to play elite defense and they'll try to throttle down a fast-paced Hawks team in tonight's matchup.
The Knicks are now 7-3 on UNDERS this season and I want to keep riding this trend early in the season. When you add in the fact that the Hawks could be without their best offensive player (Trae Young missed last night due to the birth of his daughter) and are on the second night of a back-to-back, I like our chances for an under.

I have this one pegged for around 223 points, and when I get a five-point disparity in projections I have to attack a total.
The Pick: UNDER 228 total points (-110 DraftKings)

NBA Betting Picks: ML and Spreads
Orlando Magic (+1) @ Chicago Bulls (217 total)
If you haven't heard, the Chicago Bulls drama is in full swing. It didn't take long at all for the rumors and turmoil to start with this team. DeMar DeRozan is away from the team tonight and Zach LaVine has already let it be known that he is open to a trade.
At 4-7, this team is already heading in the wrong direction, and the speculation from last season about a full fire sale and rebuild. They managed to push on Monday by losing by "only" 9 to the Bucks and Milwaukee didn't even play all that well in that game.
Orlando is still without Markelle Fultz and Wendell Carter Jr., but I like their team chemistry and the vibe of their team so much more. Orlando has played better than Chicago this season, too, and my projections have them winning this game by as many as 5-6 points. I am backing the underdogs here to get a win on the road, and for Zach LaVine to shoot his way out of Chicago (shoot poorly, that is...)
The Pick: ORL ML (-105 DraftKings)
Sacramento Kings (+1.5) @ L.A. Lakers (235 total)
Let's back another underdog here tonight. I absolutely love the Kings in this matchup against the Lakers on the road. Sacto got their best player back on Monday (De'Aaron Fox) and promptly went out and waxed my Cavaliers in impressive fashion.

This Kings team is legit and the Lakers' big win over a hapless Memphis team last night doesn't move the needle for me much. I think this will be a super competitive game for sure, but the Kings have been the better team of the two this season - even while missing Fox for a chunk of games already.
The pick: Kings ML (-102 DraftKings)
NBA Betting Picks: Parlays and Teasers
Favorite ML Parlay: CLE + DAL (-137 DK)
Favorite Teaser (buying 5 points): TOR +10, MIN +11, SAC +6.5 (+130 DK)
