We have an interesting back-to-back scenario this evening, as the Blazers and Grizzlies will go to battle for the second consecutive night in Memphis. Let's see how that affects our bets.

NBA Betting Picks: Totals
Utah Jazz (+8.5) at Miami Heat (225 total)
Let's start things off today down in Miami where the Jazz come into town.
While the Jazz rank ninth in the NBA in pace (102.1), expect the Heat to slow the pace down quite a bit in this one. Miami, who ranks 29th in pace (98.3), brings tonight's projected pace total to 99.26. On top of that, Miami's seventh-ranked defense should stimey a middle-of-the-pack Jazz offense. Utah projects to regress in offensive efficiency tonight dropping 2.46 "points" from 112.8 to 110.34.

It is clear that 109.5 is relatively low in terms of a 2024 NBA team total, but with Miami playing as slow as they do and Utah staying under this number in three of their last four games, it's a more than fair number, and price at -105 on FanDuel.

NBA Betting Picks: ML and Spreads
Portland Trail Blazers (+1.5) at Memphis Grizzlies (209.5 total)
Let's head out to the aforementioned Memphis as the Blazers and Grizzlies will get after it for a second consecutive day.
I did not have any bets on this game Friday night but will look at it here for a myriad of reasons. Between these two teams, they should play a bit slower than their season average in pace. Let's focus on Memphis here, though. The Grizzles, who come into this game ranked dead last in offensive efficiency, do project some positive regression (+2.04). Conversely, their ninth-ranked defense projects to positively regress against Portland's 29th-ranked offense (-7.57).

I know Portland took last night's game and scored 122 points in the process. This leads to the belief that a lot of the public will look back to Portland. We'll zig while they zag, and grab the Grizzlies money line at -118 on FanDuel.
