MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Shohei Ohtani OVER 7.5 strikeouts (-115 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Shohei Ohtani will square off against the Cincinnati Reds at home this afternoon. Ohtani enters today's start with a 3.65 SIERA, 31.4% K%, and a 12.8% SwStr%. Since the break, he’s been just as good. Ohtani has a 3.85 SIERA, 27.7% K%, and a 11.6% SwStr%. When talking about strikeouts, Ohtani has been a bit under his expectations. In his last eight starts, Ohtani has struck out eight or more in four of those starts. The matchup tonight for Ohtani is elite, which is why I love this bet today.
The Reds have been one of the best matchups for strikeouts as of late. Lucas Giolito struck out nine in this matchup yesterday. The Reds have struck out at a 30.3% clip over their last 30 days against right-hand pitching. Since the break, the Reds own an 86 wRC+, .310 wOBA, .422 SLG, and a 28.0% K% against right-hand pitching. If Ohtani can get it going early and get control of the zone, he should cruise to his over in this matchup against the Reds.
Alex Cobb UNDER 4.5 strikeouts (-118 FanDuel SportsBook)
I want to start by saying Alex Cobb is broken. I have been attacking him in every matchup in DFS over his last four starts, and it has been a cash cow. Over his last six starts, Cobb has a 4.59 SIERA, 15.6% K%, and a 7.6% SwStr%. He has struck out over five batters one time in those six starts. He has also given up 22 earned runs and seven home runs over that span. I will be attacking him in DFS once again with the Phillies bats.
Clayton Kershaw OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-110 DraftKings SportsBook)
There is some concern here for Kershaw with the pitch count, which is why the line is set at what it is. In his two starts returning from the IL, Kershaw has reached 67 and 71 pitches. I expect him to float around the 75-pitch mark today, which should be enough to get five strikeouts.
The Guardians have been the worst team in baseball against lefties since the break. I have been attacking them with left-hand pitching in DFS at minimal ownership, just waiting for the public to catch on. They own a 62 wRC+, .261 wOBA, .326 SLG, and 18.8% K%. They don't have a player in this lineup over a 75 wRC+ since the break. Attack the Guardians with left-hand pitching for the rest of the season.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
SGP Bryce Harper + Trea Turner to record a hit (-160 DraftKings SportsBook)
Over the last few months, I provided you with some hit parlays. Honestly, it's been a blast betting and has been very profitable. I will make this a constant theme in my articles for the rest of the season. I like giving you guys different looks on how to bet instead of writing up the everyday props like always. You can always take either of the two guys below for their total bases prop to get a better line.
Let's go right back to the well with attacking Alex Cobb here. Cobb has a .283 BAA on the season. Over his last six starts, he allowed a .315 BAA, including seven or more hits in four outings. He has allowed a .279 BAA against lefties over that span and a .356 BAA against righties. We will be attacking him today with one right-handed bat and one left-handed bat.
Trea Turner is the best right-handed bat in this lineup against right-hand pitching. He has a .372 AVG against the split over his last 15 games. Turner has a hit in 13 of his previous 15 games. Bryce Harper has been getting hot as of late for this Phillies team. He is hitting .302 on the year against righties, which leads the Phillies left-handed bats. He has a hit in five of his last six games.
