MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Sonny Gray UNDER 5.5 strikeouts (-128 FanDuel Sportsbook)
Not often is my favorite pitcher prop of the day an under, but that's precisely what we have here. Sonny Gray will square off tonight against the Boston Red Sox. Gray has a 24.8% K and an 11.6% SwStr on the season. Over his last eight starts, Gray is trending in the opposite direction, as he has a 16.8% K and a 10.3% SwStr. He has achieved six or more strikeouts only once in that time frame.
The Red Sox are among the toughest teams in the big leagues to strike out. They have a 20.4% K against right-hand pitching, the fourth lowest in baseball. Their recent trends show a lot of the same. We have a pitcher whose strikeouts are trending in the wrong direction against an offense that is very stingy at the plate. I'll take the under here against Gray.
Rich Hill OVER 4.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Rich Hill will square off against the Chicago Cubs at home this afternoon. Hill enters today's start with a 21.4% K and a 7.7% SwStr. The numbers are underwhelming, but the production has been entirely different. Hill has had five or more strikeouts in ten of his 14 starts this season.
He gets a favorable matchup with the Chicago Cubs. Hill has yet to face the Cubs this season. The Cubs own a 25.4% K against left-hand pitching this season. That mark is good for the top ten in baseball. In June, they hold a 26.5% K, so the recent trends show them continuing to struggle against the split. I love the chances of Hill pitching deep into this game and achieving five or more strikeouts tonight.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
SGP Joey Meneses + Paul Goldschmidt to record a hit (-130 DraftKings SportsBook)
Over the last few weeks, I provided you with some hit parlays. Honestly, it's been a blast betting and has been very profitable. I will make this a constant theme in my articles for the rest of the season. I like giving you guys different looks on how to bet instead of writing up the everyday props like always. You can always take either of the two guys below for their total bases prop to get a better line.
Trevor Williams will square off against Miles Mikolas. Mikolas this season has a .282 BAA and a 32.3% hard hit. Over his last three starts, he has a .333 BAA and a 32.9% hard hit. Williams, on the season, has a .266 BAA and a 30.7% hard hit. Over his last four starts, he has a .306 BAA and a 33.8% hard hit.
Joey Meneses leads the Nationals with a .299 AVG against right-hand pitching. He has hits in 11 of his last 15 games. Paul Goldschmidt leads the Cardinals with a .292 AVG against right-hand pitching. He has hits in ten of his previous 15 games and nine of his last ten games. I love the chances of both getting hits tonight in great matchups.
