MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Dylan Cease has started the season scorching hot as he has now struck out seven or more batters in five of his previous six starts. He has also been able to pitch deep as he has gone six or more innings pitched in six straight starts.
The matchup against the Cubs today appears to be solid as well. Over the previous two weeks, the Cubs are posting a 23.9% K rate vs. right-handed pitchers, which ranks in the bottom half of baseball. They are also posting a sub-90 wRC+ mark, which should improve the chances of Cease getting deep into this ball game.
Jordan Montgomery OVER 15.5 pitching outs (-145 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Jordan Montgomery was solid in his first two starts this season, however, he struggled mightily against the Dodgers in his most recent start as he allowed six earned runs over just three innings pitched. I am willing to forgive this as it was against the Dodgers, whom most pitchers struggle against. Today, he has a solid matchup against the Cincinnati Reds.
Over the previous two weeks, the Reds have struggled against southpaws, especially. They have posted just a 24(!) wRC+ mark over 95 PA, which is a respectble sample size. This should allow Montgomery to get through the fifth inning, which is something he was able to do in each of his first two starts.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Aaron Judge OVER .5 RBI (+105 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Aaron Judge has started to heat up as he has collected six hits over his previous four games, including two doubles. He has also driven in a run in each of his previous three games. The Yankees offense has also proven to be tough as they have posted a wRC+ mark of 147 against right-handers over the previous two weeks.
This should be good news for Judge producing an RBI against Astros' right-hander, Spencer Arrighetti. Arrighetti has struggled against right-handed bats this season a she has allowed a .400 BAA across the 33 batters he has faced. Once Arrighetti's work is complete, Judge and the Yankees should be able to take advantage of an Astros' pen that has posted a 4.55 ERA on the season, ranking them in the bottom half of the league.
Bryce Harper OVER 1.5 total bases (+110 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Bryce Harper has been on an absolute tear as he has collected nine hits over his previous four games, including three home runs across his previous three games. He will be up against Blue Jays' right-handed starter Chris Bassitt, which should be good news as Harper has posted a 1.002 OPS vs. right-handers thus far in 2024.
Bassitt, on the other hand, has allowed a .354 BAA to left-handed hitters this season. He has also allowed five home runs to lefties in 2024. Over his previous three starts, Bassitt has allowed 19 hits and 12 earned runs. Harper should be in a great spot to collect two total bases in this one.
