MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Tanner Bibee OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-122, FanDuel Sportsbook)
The Cleveland Guardians welcome the Detroit Tigers for the first time this season and it's rookie right-hander Tanner Bibee getting the nod for the series opener.
Bibee has been excellent in his first two MLB starts not only due to a 2.45 ERA but also a 30.2% K% across 11 innings of work. Bibee also posted a 31.1% K% in three Triple-A starts prior to his big-league promotion so it's clear he has the ability to put hitters away at a high clip.
Bibee gets a nice matchup tonight against a weak Tigers offense that sits 27th with a 25.3% K% on the season. Detroit also sits 29th with a .288 wOBA on the season so Bibee should have a good chance at getting deep into this ball game.
I anticipated a 6.5 over/under here so I will take the OVER 5.5 with great pleasure.
Miles Mikolas UNDER 4.5 strikeouts (+126, FanDuel Sportsbook)
It's an NL Central tilt tonight in Chicago as the Cubs host the Cardinals and right-hander Miles Mikolas.
Mikolas is not a strikeout pitcher as he owns a career 18.1% K% for his big-league career and a mark of 19.4% this season that would be a career-high if the season ended today. In other words, I'd expect that figure to regress moving forward and tonight would be a good opportunity for that regression to kick in.
The Cubs sit in the top half of the league with a 22.4% K% on the season, a figure that's tied for 12th in all of baseball. Considering the strikeout regression staring Mikolas in the face and a team that doesn't strike out a ton, the under seems to be holding substantial value here at plus money.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Jose Ramirez 2+ Total Bases (+100, FanDuel Sportsbook)
Jose Ramirez rakes left-handed pitching, he destroys the division-rival Tigers, and Joey Wentz has had a very uneven season for Detroit.
Wentz will carry a 6.67 ERA into this one tonight and he has yielded an .898 OPS to right-handed hitters along with a .385 wOBA. All six of his home runs surrendered on the season have come against a right-handed hitter.
The switch-hitting Ramirez might not be having his best season by his lofty standards but he's still hitting .282 on the campaign. He has just three homers in 34 games but his nine doubles and one triple are solid. The power output is due to regress positively and Wentz seems like an ideal target.
In 132 career appearances against the Tigers, Ramirez has hit .311 with 27 homers, 34 doubles, 10 triples, and a .983 OPS across 547 trips to the plate. Detroit is far from the only team he's terrorized in his career but that's a lofty sample and some big-time numbers.
Considering we're getting plus-money odds, I am all over Ramirez to grab at least two total bases in this one tonight.
Michael Conforto 2+ Total Bases (+135, FanDuel Sportsbook)
The San Francisco Giants welcome the Washington Nationals and right-hander Jake Irvin this evening. While Irivin pitched well in allowing just one earned run in 4 1/3 innings in his MLB debut against the Cubs, I'm not quite sold.
Irvin made five Triple-A starts prior to his MLB promotion and was touched up for a 5.64 ERA in that time. Last season, he finished up at Double-A where he posted a 4.79 ERA in 15 outings. These recent minor-league results aren't exactly encouraging as he makes his second turn through the Nationals' rotation tonight.
There's no doubt it's been a struggle for Conforto this season as he's hitting just .175 with a .281 wOBA that leaves plenty to be desired. However, he does have four homers even if he had added just one double to his ledger. Conforto has hit lefties and righties well in his career so he's not a pinch-hitting candidate later in this ball game if a left-hander comes out of Washington's bullpen.
Irvin is going to get rocked at some point moving forward and even if Conforto is scuffling, his +135 odds are rather attractive against one of the weaker righties on this slate.
