With teams scoring double-digit runs with regularity the last few nights and upsets galore, it's been a wild week already in Major League Baseball. Today we get a classic Wednesday slate with games scattered across the early afternoon and into the evening. Let's see if we can find any value in what appears to be a somewhat challenging slate.

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Giants @ Cubs

O/U: 10.5 | Moneyline: CHI (-142)

SFG: Alex Wood| CHC: Jordan Wicks

It's a matchup of two lefties on the hill today in the Friendly Confines. The wind is blowing out around 15 MPH, which is why we see such a high total in this one.

What is interesting, however, is that both pitchers can get their fair share of groundballs, although the sample size at the major league level for Wicks is very small as he's made just two starts this season.

While Wood has been a reliable veteran over the years, he's been pitching out of relief for much of the season and sports a 4.35 ERA and .144 WHIP. He pitches to contact a lot, which could be trouble today with the wind blowing out if the Cubs hitters can elevate the ball.

Jordan Wicks has been very impressive over his first 12 innings in the majors and the Giants struggle against LHP. I have more confidence in this Cubs lineup against Wood than I do in the Giants vs. Wicks, it's that simple.

Pick: CHI ML (-142) DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Orioles @ L.A. Angels

O/U: 9 | Moneyline: BAL (-135)

BAL: Kyle Gibson | LAA: Patrick Sandoval

While the Cubs are hoping to finish their sweep of the Giants, it's the Orioles who I like to finish off the Angels in their series. Baltimore continues to push for a division crown and has won four straight games coming into tonight's matchup.  Meanwhile, the Halos have dropped five straight - including being swept by Oakland (of all teams).

With Shohei Ohtani out of the lineup and perhaps done for the year, this lineup simply doesn't scare anyone much. Kyle Gibson toes the rubber for the Orioles and is in need of a bounce-back start. I think he could get it here.

Patrick Sandoval pitches for the Angels and I simply don't have much confidence in him these days. He was once one of my favorite prospects, but he continues to battle control issues and has been never able to consistently put it together for an entire season. Going up against Baltimore is a tough task for any lefty, let alone a guy who allows as many baserunners as Sandoval.

I have the Orioles winning here and keeping their streak going. Even if we hold the pitching as equal, the O's have the advantage on offense and in the bullpen.

Pick: BAL ML (-135) DraftKings Sportsbook

Bonus Bet: Atlanta -1.5 (-135)

Strider is on the mound and the Braves bounce back here by pounding Dakota Hudson!

Good luck, Rotoballers! Let's cash some bets and make some money today!
