Today's MLB Betting Picks - Seattle Mariners @ Detroit Tigers
O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: SEA -155
SEA: Logan Gilbert| DET: Eduardo Rodriguez
The Tigers are getting a bit more respect than usual from the books as they're "only" +135 underdogs here at home against a Seattle team that is likely playoff-bound. It probably has a lot to do with E-Rod taking the mound for Detroit as he's turned in two good starts in a row since coming back from an injury that forced him to miss a huge chunk of the season.
While Seattle's offense is solid, I think E-Rod can hold them in check here and the Detroit bullpen is a lot better than people realize.
The Detroit offense, however, stinks on ice and is one of the worst units in baseball, especially against RHP. Logan Gilbert has put together a solid sophomore campaign and should be licking his chops at this match-up with the Tigers' bats.
We had two very hittable lefties on the hill last night and these teams only combined for 8 runs. With both teams putting out much better pitchers today, I'll gladly jump on this under. Remember, no team in baseball has gone under their totals more (62%) than Detroit due to their anemic offense and solid pitching.
Pick: UNDER 7.5 runs (-115), DraftKings Sportsbook

Today's MLB Betting Picks - Los Angeles Dodgers @ New York Mets
O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: LAD -140
LAD: Clayton Kershaw| NYM: Chris Bassitt
This series has been a lot of fun to watch and it just feels like this is almost undoubtedly the match-up that we are going to get this Fall in the NLCS. I can't wait for that, and I think the Mets will have a puncher's chance at taking down the Dodgers when that day comes.
But for now, it's just a regular season game and finale of a three-game series that has featured more pitching than offense. It's the rubber match of the series as the Dodgers took the first game behind a strong outing from Andrew Heaney and the Mets bounced back with a 2-1 win behind another dominant performance from Jacob deGrom.
We get more good pitching today as the Dodgers welcome Clayton Kershaw back to their rotation and the Mets roll out the underrated bulldog Chris Bassitt. Kershaw is probably only going 5-6 innings here based on how the Dodgers are often cautious with him, but he did throw 70 pitches in his last tune-up.
Both offenses are darn good with patient hitters and powerful bats, but I still give the pitching the edge here, especially when you consider that both bullpens behind the starters have been solid as well. I like this one to be a close, low-scoring affair and continue to have that playoff feel that we've had so far in this series.
Pick: UNDER 7.5 runs (-115), DraftKings Sportsbook
