BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 31% of leagues
ANALYSIS: April makes for strange bedfellows. Case in point, we're seriously putting Freddy Galvis forward as a viable mixed-league option. Though it may not last, the veteran has been scorching the ball in the early going, with a .395/.435/.744 line, four home runs, and 16 R+BI in 13 games. He's also chipped in a stolen base for good measure.
Known more for his glove than his bat, the 29-year-old did pop 20 homers and steal 17 bases back in 2016 with the Phillies, and over the last three seasons he's averaged 15 HR and 13 SB. So there's some potential for moderate category juice in those areas. The issue has been his lack of on-base ability (career .292 OBP), which typically leads to him hitting at the bottom of the lineup and suppresses his runs scored and RBI opportunities.
The .419 BABIP and 22.2 HR/FB% will doubtless regress, but Galvis is also hitting a ton more fly balls than usual and has been getting looks at the top of the Toronto batting order recently. If nothing else, ride him while he's hot.
