Its time to "Bawitdaba" this Saturday with the first NASCAR Cup Race of the doubleheader weekend at Michigan International Speedway. Michigan is BIG FAST, so to see a back to back race here is exciting this season. This month will be jam-packed with racing action, and some exciting developments have taken place so far this week.
The big news for the sport that dropped mid-week was the qualifying changes that will take effect next weekend at the Daytona Road Course race. Nascar has decided to move away from the random draw after multiple drivers voiced their concerns. The new formula will take drivers finishing position, team points, and fastest lap speed into account when determining the starting order moving forward.
Starting this weekend, NASCAR has also decided to move to the "Choose Rule" moving forward, which allows drivers to pick which lane they prefer on restarts. So with the addition of these new things, It's time for me to lay a new music video. We're rocking Kid Rock to kick off Motor City Madness.

Kevin Harvick #4
(DraftKings $11,000 | FanDuel $14,000 | DK SportsBook +450)
Harvick didn't have the usual race last weekend in New Hampshire, (by usual, I mean winning or second) but I fully expect to see the stars realign on Saturday. Not only is Harvick a certified "Vroom Star" with three Top 3's (and two of them wins) in the past three races at this track, but he showed bounce back speed last Sunday towards race end as well. There's just no give up in K-Harv.
Joey Logano #22
(DraftKings $9,700 | FanDuel $11,400 | DK SportsBook +700)
Joseph L makes his might return to my driver picks this week after a long hiatus. Logano has the pole on Saturday, and after watching his performance last week, he seems like he's back to his old self. I've provided some 'Chase Math" to better state my case for Logano in DFS this week below.
?? Chase’s NASCAR Math ??
Three Wins for Logano starting P1:
1 + 1 + 1 = 3
Joey Logano starts inside the Top 3 on Saturday.
3 = Dale
Dale = A Winner

Chase Elliott #9
(DraftKings $9,300 | FanDuel $11,200 | DK SportsBook +800)
Elliott is due for a win, and Michigan could provide the Hendrick star with that opportunity. It's a no brainer that Chase will at least get a Top 10 at this track, but some could argue it's been a while since he's seen a Top 3 at Michigan. The odds are great, the price is solid for a P8 start, and I'm going in on the NAPA kid.
Erik Jones #20
(DraftKings $8,800 | FanDuel $10,000 | DK SportsBook +4000 )
Jones got the news that he wouldn't be returning to JGR in 2021 this week, and if you know racing, you know that this is pure fuel for a driver. Jones has had his ups and downs this season, but he is in a good position for DFS this week starting in P23. I'm putting some money on Jones this Saturday as well just to play the narrative ( Fight or Flight mode has been activated).

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. #47
(DraftKings $6,900 | FanDuel $6,400)
Stenhouse Jr. shocked the NASCAR twitter world last week by not wrecking when we played him in DFS last weekend. Stenhouse Jr. should keep landing towards the rear with the new qualifying order formula starting next weekend, and I can't help but play him at these low prices, and starting positions (P32 this Saturday). JTG Daughtery looked a lot better, and hopefully, they have worked out their kinks moving forward.
Tyler Reddick #8
(DraftKings $7,200 | FanDuel $8,000)
Reddick was wicked fast last season at Michigan in the Xfinity series, and also won at this track. He'll be starting P14 on Saturday, and has a solid chance of finishing inside the Top 10. It could be viewed as a bit of a toss-up, but I'm comfortable rolling with him after seeing the long-run speed he's had throughout the season.
Ty Dillon #13
(DraftKings $5,700 | FanDuel $5,000)
In this week's NASCAR DFS Preview Show, Chef BoiRDeen and I split Dillon and Preece in half as our fifth driver option, and punt play. I've decided to lean more on Dillon in my lineups this week due to driver experience. Preece and Dillon are close to the same, but I just thought you all should know where I stand officially.
Austin Dillon #3
(DraftKings $7,500 | FanDuel $7,700)
Austin was a last-minute decision of mine after debating hard on who fit my lineups best. Dillon has the win to push him mentally moving forward this season, and has shown that he can cruise strong at this track. Dillon has had four Top 10's at Michigan in his career, and has a solid opportunity for positive place differential starting in P18.
