BALLER MOVE: Continue Scouting; Add in AL-Only leagues
ANALYSIS: Félix Doubront can be a useful pitcher in the right format. With a superb offense and an above average defense behind him, he is one of those sleepers that can pick up some wins for you. And he's shown the potential to be an above average strikeout producer, posting K/9s of 9.3 and 7.7 in the last two seasons. That said, he doesn't provide nearly enough strikeouts to make up for the damage he could do to your ERA & WHIPE rate stats in a fantasy league. Last season he posted a WHIP of 1.429 and an ERA of 4.32 in 162 major league innings - and playing in the most competitive division in baseball and in a very unfriendly park for pitchers, I don't see those numbers improving a lot this season. This relegates him to streamer status in a standard mixed league, but in AL only formats the strikeout potential does make him an interesting back of the rotation starter.
