FantasyDraft DFS Picks (8/30/17): MLB Lineups Advice

We have plenty of games today, but they are broken into two slates. Each slate is more than big enough to safely make lineups with, which is why this article includes players from the early and late slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FantasyDraft on 8/30/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FantasyDraft Starting Pitchers to Consider

Stephen Strasburg - P, vs MIA ($24,000)

Strasburg has found quite a bit of success this season, as he enters this game with a 10-4 record, 3.10 ERA, and 10.5 K/9 through 22 starts. He gets a good matchup against the Marlins, and Strasburg is a -209 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He isn't a player that is going to come cheap, but on limited slates, Strasburg is nearly a must start.

Travis Wood - P, vs SF ($12,000)

Wood has struggled at times this season, but he has a 3-0 record, 1.96 ERA, and 5.9 K/9 through three starts in San Diego. He gets a great matchup against the Giants, and Wood is currently a -126 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. He's an elite salary relief option at pitcher on a site that pitchers generally cost top dollar.

FantasyDraft Infielders to Consider

Yonder Alonso - 1B, at BAL ($8,000)

Alonso is a fairly consistent option that also comes with great power at first base. He hits right-handed pitching extremely well, and he gets a great matchup against Ubaldo Jimenez today. He will be playing in a hitter friendly stadium, and Alonso has been playing well enough to be considered in all leagues.

Mike Moustakas - 3B, vs TB ($7,600)

Moustakas has been struggling a bit recently, but that has also caused his price to drop a bit. He gets a good matchup against Jake Odorizzi, and Moustakas has been an elite hitter against right-handed pitching this season. He's hitting in one of the top stacking lineups on the slate, and Moustakas is a high upside option on the slate tonight.

Ian Kinsler - 2B, at COL ($9,000)

Kinsler is a hitter that is at his best on the road, and he will be playing in the most hitter friendly stadium in the MLB today. He gets a great matchup against Chad Bettis in Coors. Kinsler has been struggling a bit recently, but he is hitting in one of the top projected offense today, and he can be used in all leagues.

FantasyDraft Outfielders to Consider

Justin Upton - LF, at COL ($10,200)

Upton has been playing at an elite level recently, as he's hitting slightly under .300 with an OPS nearing 1.200 over his last 10 games. He's a powerful player that gets an elite matchup against Chad Bettis in Coors Field. Upton generally is best suited for tournaments, but he can be used in all leagues because of the matchup in Coors.

Brandon Moss - IF/OF, vs TB ($6,600)

Moss has been struggling a bit over his last 10 games, but he will be playing in Kansas City tonight, where he has been a significantly better hitter this season. His average increases .125 points and his slugging percentage increases nearly .100 points at home as opposed to on the road. He also gets a great matchup against Jake Odorizzi, and Moss can be used in all leagues.

Kole Calhoun - RF, vs OAK ($7,600)

Calhoun is a player that has hit much better at home this season. He has also been playing well over his last 10 games, as he's hitting a bit under .300 with a slugging percentage north of .500 over that span. He hits right-handed pitching well, and he gets a good matchup against Kendall Graveman, and Calhoun can be used in all leagues on this slate.
