Terry McLaurin Injury Update
Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin (toe) left Monday night's preseason game due to a toe injury and did not return. X-rays came back negative so it seems the star receiver may have dodged a serious injury. For now, the team will wait to see how long he'll need to be sidelined and would likely miss their last remaining preseason contest.
If not for the injury, then for precautionary reasons. McLaurin is set to be the number-one receiver on the team again and looking to break into the top 20 at his position.
Cooper Kupp Injury Update
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) returned to practice on Monday after missing multiple weeks dealing with a hamstring injury. He also was a full and active participant throughout the day. Even more encouraging news is the fact that he made one of the plays of the day while stretching out to make a catch while dragging his toes to stay in bounds.
The All-Pro receiver firing on all cylinders is a great sight for the Rams and fantasy managers alike. As the clear-cut number-one pass-catcher on the team, Kupp is in line for another big season as long as the quarterback play is steady.
Jordan Addison Injury Update
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison (concussion protocol) participated in practice on Monday while wearing a red, no-contact jersey. According to Kevin Seifert of ESPN, the practice wasn't going to be contact-heavy anyway, but shows that Addison isn't fully recovered.
The rookie pass-catcher first went into the protocol last week, so his progression is headed in the right direction. Even though he missed the team's second preseason game, he's still expected to be a starter in three-receiver sets. He holds value as a WR3/4 and even more in dynasty formats.
Elijah Moore Injury Update
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore (ribs) returned to practice on Sunday, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski. The wideout was sidelined since suffering a rib injury during the preseason meeting with the Washington Commanders and was day-to-day.
With Stefanski also reporting that the starters would see action for the team's final preseason game against Kansas City on Saturday, Moore should be out there, barring a setback during joint sessions with the Chiefs throughout the week. (SI.com)
Tank Dell Injury Update
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (leg) didn't suit up for Saturday's preseason matchup against the Miami Dolphins. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the rookie experienced tightness in his leg during warmups.
Fortunately, it doesn't appear that the injury is severe, as Wilson added Dell was held out as a "precautionary measure." The 23-year-old, drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, has gained positive attention since training camp began, meaning he's worth considering late in fantasy drafts heading into Week 1.
Russell Gage Injury Update
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage (knee) has officially been placed on the injured reserve on Sunday. Gage will miss the entire 2023 campaign after suffering a torn patellar tendon during Wednesday's joint practice with the New York Jets. The 27-year-old dealt with multiple injuries last season that limited him to 13 games. He finally looked healthy during training camp, but unfortunately suffered this season-ending injury.
Gage will now sit out his third and final year of his contract with Tampa Bay. The Bucs already have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin locked into the first two receiver spots. However, the third wideout job is completely wide open right now. It'll be interesting to see if someone is able to set themselves apart during the final preseason game.
