Gabe Davis (JAX) Injury Update
One of three Jacksonville wide receivers to get hurt on Sunday, Gabe Davis is dealing with a shoulder injury. Christian Kirk (collarbone) and Brian Thomas Jr. (chest) also couldn't finish the game (more on them below).
Head coach Doug Pederson believes Davis should be fine to play in Week 9. He could be the second-most-targeted player after Evan Engram against Philadelphia.
Stefon Diggs (HOU) Injury Update
Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs went down with a non-contact knee injury during Sunday's win over Indianapolis. Tests revealed he tore his ACL. Diggs' season is over.

The Texans are already without Nico Collins (hamstring) until Week 10 at the earliest. John Metchie III and Xavier Hutchinson will see more playing time alongside Tank Dell.
Tee Higgins (CIN) Injury Update
For the second time this season, Tee Higgins suffered an injury in practice late in the week and was forced to miss time. This time around, it's a quad injury. Head coach Zac Taylor considers Higgins day-to-day.
Bengals WR Tee Higgins (quad) will be day-to-day after getting hurt in practice on Friday, Zac Taylor said.

Frustrated fantasy managers will spend another week tracking Cincinnati's practice reports. He'll likely carry a questionable tag into the weekend unless he logs multiple full practices.
Christian Kirk (JAX) Injury Update
Christian Kirk's season has ended. The Jaguars slot receiver broke his collarbone while attempting to come down with a catch against Green Bay.

With Evan Engram in the lineup, Kirk has hurt fantasy managers more than he's helped. He was a popular name on the trade market and could have landed in Tampa Bay or another receiver-needy team. That won't happen anymore.
DK Metcalf (SEA) Injury Update
DK Metcalf is dealing with an MCL sprain in his right knee. He sat out of Week 8's loss to the Buffalo Bills and the Seattle offense struggled without him. Week 8 could be the only game that Metcalf misses.
Mike Macdonald again says it's “looking optimistic" that DK Metcalf will be back this week. But they need to see him practice first, then go from there.

The Seahawks have an important divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Rams next on the schedule. The Seahawks and fantasy managers hope Metcalf is healthy enough to suit up. Monitor Seattle's practice reports throughout the week.
Sterling Shepard (TB) Injury Update
Due to injuries to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, Sterling Shepard returned to fantasy relevance. That lasted for less than a half. Shepard left the game with a hamstring injury in the second quarter.

Second-year wideout Trey Palmer was the most experienced receiver on the field following Shepard's departure. No wonder Baker Mayfield targets tight end Cade Otton 10 times.
Brian Thomas Jr. (JAX) Injury Update
Initial reports said Brian Thomas Jr. was set to miss two to four weeks with a chest injury. A few hours later, head coach Doug Pederson said the MRI showed a contusion and he could play this week. Thomas said he hopes to practice soon.
Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. is day to day with contusion on left side of his chest, per HC Doug Pederson. MRI did not show anything more severe. Chance he could play this week, Pederson said.

Like Higgins and Metcalf, Thomas' status for Sunday is uncertain. Practice reports will give fantasy managers clues as to whether he'll suit up.
