Jordan Addison (MIN) Injury Update
Game Status: No injury designation
Jordan Addison (and his counterpart Jalen Nailor) practiced in full on Friday after two straight days of limited participation. The second-year wideout was carted off the practice field in mid-August with a high-ankle sprain. He'll be active on Sunday against the Giants.
#Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) is off the injury report and good to go for Sunday's opener vs. the #Giants.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) September 6, 2024
With Sam Darnold under center, Addison has slipped into the WR4 range, both for the season and in Week 1. It'll be tough to trust him as anything more than a boom/bust option.
Keenan Allen (CHI) Injury Update
Game Status: Questionable
In what was initially described as a cleat issue, Keenan Allen was limited on Wednesday and Thursday practice reports with a heel injury. He upgraded to a full participant on Friday. While officially listed as questionable, it doesn't appear that there's anything to worry about here.
Matt Eberflus says the outlook is good for Keenan Allen and Montez Sweat to play Sunday. They were full today.

With L'Jarius Sneed likely shadowing DJ Moore, Caleb Williams could be looking at Allen way more often. He's a low-end WR3 for the matchup against the Titans.
DJ Chark (LAC) Injury Update
Game Status: Out
DJ Chark was slated to be one of the three starting receivers in Los Angeles. A hip injury will keep him out of the lineup.

OUT — DJ Chark Jr.

Quentin Johnston will see more opportunities in Week 1, alongside regular starters Joshua Palmer and Ladd McConkey. Palmer is in flex consideration but is better suited as a WR4.
Josh Downs (IND) Injury Update
Game Status: Out
A high-ankle sprain took Josh Downs off the field early in August. Before the injury, the second-year professional was picking up a lot of buzz as a training camp star. The four-to-six-week recovery timeline dampened the breakout potential.
“This summer, Josh Downs looked like arguably the team’s best offensive player in training camp before sustaining a high-ankle sprain. Downs’ status for Week 1 is murky, but if fantasy players are willing to take a chance on drafting him without knowing his immediate…
— 32BeatWriters (@32BeatWriters) August 29, 2024
Head coach Shane Steichen said Downs is "progressing well," but he did not practice this week. He will not play against the Texans. Rookie Adonai Mitchell and Alec Pierce will line up opposite Michael Pittman Jr.
Tee Higgins / Ja'Marr Chase (CIN) Injury Update
Game Status: Doubtful / Questionable
"We'll see." That's all head coach Zac Taylor is giving us in regards to his star wide receivers playing on Sunday.
Tee Higgins tweaked his hamstring during Thursday's practice and missed practice Friday. Mid-week injuries and downgrades in practice participation are never good signs. Higgins has a lengthy history of hamstring issues but did say he felt "amazing" on Thursday. He's officially listed as doubtful.

Chase is being labeled questionable because of lingering contract issues. Chase said he’d play without his sought-after extension but he feels a deal is close. If he is active, he admitted that he'll be limited. Andrei Iosivas will become the WR1 if Higgins and Chase don't suit up.
DeAndre Hopkins (TEN) Injury Update
Game Status: Questionable
DeAndre Hopkins' average draft position slipped a couple of rounds due to (what we know now) a torn MCL injury that forced him away from training camp. He's been a limited participant in practice leading into their matchup against the Chicago Bears. He's insinuating that he'll play Sunday.

"I guess we'll see Sunday..."

— Jill Jelnick (@JillJelnick) September 5, 2024
Hopkins admitted that he's managing the pain and that an injury of that kind takes a year to heal. He was out of action for five weeks.
Hopkins and the Tennessee offense draw a tough matchup against Chicago in Week 1. While the Titans should throw more under Callahan, the addition of Calvin Ridley and the inaccuracy of Will Levis places Hopkins in the WR4 range. Most fantasy managers can bench the former star this week.
Tyler Lockett (SEA) Injury Update
Game Status: No injury designation
Limited practices are nothing new for the 31-year-old longtime Seattle Seahawks wide receiver. Tyler Lockett was sporting a wrap on his leg when he said his missed time in training camp was maintenance. He was a full participant in practice on Friday and carries no injury designation into Week 1.

— Bob Condotta (@bcondotta) September 2, 2024
There's optimism surrounding the Seattle offense under new coordinator Ryan Grubb. But DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba could out-target the aging veteran. Lockett is a low-end WR4 against the Denver Broncos, who could stick star cornerback Pat Surtain II on Metcalf.
Ricky Pearsall (SF) Injury Update
Game Status: Out
Ricky Pearsall will miss at least the first four games of his rookie season after being shot in the chest over the weekend. The 49ers placed the first-round pick on the reserve/Non-Football Injury list. It appears his recovery is initially going well. Pearsall was already spotted in the 49ers' weight room.
Ricky Pearsall was back at the 49ers facility in the weight room about 48 hours after being shot in the chest, according to Tim Ryan on KNBR https://t.co/uyQoYvyh3g
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) September 3, 2024
On the fantasy football side, Pearsall's stock took a hit when the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk agreed to an extension. He's firmly behind Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel Sr. once he can return to the field.
Curtis Samuel (BUF) Injury Update
Game Status: No injury designation
Buffalo's noteworthy free-agent addition at wide receiver was sidelined with a turf toe in recent weeks. Curtis Samuel has been a full participant in practices upon his return. He will play against the Arizona Cardinals.
#Bills WR Curtis Samuel (turf toe) and backup QB Mitch Trubisky (knee) are off the injury report and good to go for Sunday vs. Arizona.
— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) September 6, 2024
Samuel's presence will create an uncertain target distribution, making all wideouts (Samuel, Khalil Shakir, and Keon Coleman) nothing more than a WR4, despite a plus matchup against a shaky Arizona defense. Dalton Kincaid should be started in all formats.
Roman Wilson (PIT) Injury Update
Game Status: Out
Roman Wilson missed the majority of his rookie training camp and did not play during the preseason due to an ankle injury. The third-round pick returned to the practice field this week, but he's not ready to make his NFL debut.
The Steelers have officially listed QB Russell Wilson (calf) as questionable.
Roman Wilson (ankle), Isaac Seumalo (pec), and Logan Lee (calf) are all OUT.
Troy Fautanu, Cory Trice, Darnell Washington, and Jaylen Warren will play.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) September 6, 2024
Until he gets more acclimated with the offense and the NFL, Wilson will be behind George Pickens, Van Jefferson, and Calvin Austin III on the Pittsburgh depth chart.
