Travis Kelce Injury Update
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) has been removed from the injury report and does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Kelce continues to carry the overall TE1 outlook into Week 7.
Sam LaPorta Injury Update
Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has dodged the injury report this week as the team has removed him ahead of their Week 7 contest against the Baltimore Ravens. The rookie tight end has been a big part of this offense as he's seen five or more targets in five of his first six games.
He hurt his calf in their latest game which originally put him in doubt for Week 7, but that seems to not be a big enough issue. The Lions offense draws a tough matchup against a solid Ravens defensive unit, but if LaPorta is healthy then he should be in all fantasy lineup as he comes in at the TE2 in half-PPR leagues.
Dallas Goedert Injury Update
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) has been removed from the injury report and will play in Week 7 versus the Miami Dolphins. He was cleared to suit up despite practicing in a limited capacity on Friday.
Goedert has delivered increased production recently, totaling 13 catches, 159 yards, and one touchdown over the last two weeks. It can be difficult to emerge as a reliable fantasy option in such a crowded offense, but Goedert is trending up and ranks as a mid-range fantasy TE1 in Week 7.
Pat Freiermuth Injury Update
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) is expected to miss the Week 7 game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and will likely be sidelined longer after aggravating his hamstring injury in practice on Thursday, according to sources. Freiermuth had an MRI exam on Friday morning and his return to action is now on hold. It's a bummer for fantasy managers that were itching to get him back into their lineups this week.
Coming off the bye, the 24-year-old put in a full practice on Wednesday before aggravating his hamstring Thursday. Return him to your benches for now. Darnell Washington will once again have a bigger role against the Rams, but he's not a realistic streaming option. The 22-year-old has just one catch for 10 yards on three targets in five games in 2023.
Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid Injury Update
Buffalo Bills tight ends Dalton Kincaid (concussion) and Dawson Knox (wrist) have been removed from the injury report ahead of Week 7 versus the New England Patriots. Both players practiced in full all week long and have been cleared to suit up this Sunday.
Neither player has been particularly exciting this season; both rank outside the top-28 tight ends in terms of fantasy points. They will rank as low-end TE2 options for Week 7.
Hunter Henry Injury Update
New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry (ankle) is listed as questionable to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 7. The veteran tight end has been quiet since posting big showings to begin the season, mostly due to the offensive struggles of the Patriots.
He's touchdown-dependent and faces a tough matchup on Sunday. Consider him a shaky TE2 play for Week 7 if he suits up.
