Greg Dulcich Injury Update
Denver Broncos tight end Greg Dulcich left the Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Rams early and is reportedly dealing with a hamstring injury. The rookie tight end has impressed in spots this season, totaling 33 receptions for 411 yards and three touchdowns thus far, despite missing the first five weeks of the regular season.
If Dulcich has to miss time, Eric Saubert and Eric Tomlinson will see more time at tight end, but neither would be on the fantasy radar. The fallout of Dulcich's absence would mean more targets for Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy in Week 17.
Hayden Hurst Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst (calf) has missed each of the last three games but could be in line to return in Week 17 to face the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Zac Taylor said the team is "very optimistic" he will be ready to go, but fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his latest updates.
However, the Bills have allowed the fewest fantasy points to tight ends this season, so he'll be ranked lower than ever this week. This game could be a shootout and he could pay off if he finds the end zone, but it's tough to expect a huge reception and yardage day against the Bills this week.
Hunter Henry Injury Update
New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry left the Week 16 game against the Cincinnati Bengals early in the first quarter with a knee injury and did not return. He is listed as day-to-day and has a shot to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
However, the veteran tight end has failed to make much of a fantasy impact this season, totaling 30 receptions for 415 yards and two touchdowns. That said, he remains off the fantasy radar.
Will Dissly Injury Update
The Seattle Seahawks placed tight end Will Dissly (knee) on Injured Reserve on Tuesday and promoted cornerback Xavier Crawford from the practice squad to the active roster in a corresponding move. Dissly will miss the final two regular season games after suffering what head coach Pete Carroll described as a knee contusion in the Week 16 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Seattle will have to make the playoffs and advance to the NFC Championship for Dissly to have a shot at returning this year.
The 26-year-old mostly worked behind Noah Fant as the pass-catching tight end for the Seahawks this year, and he'll finish the regular season with just 34 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns in 38 targets over 15 games. Colby Parkinson should see some more playing time alongside Fant the rest of the way.
