T.J. Hockenson Injury Update
Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson (ribs) was limited in practice on Friday for the second straight day this week. Hockenson continues to work through a rib injury that he's been dealing with for a few weeks, but it hasn't caused him to miss any time and he should be just fine to suit up on Monday night in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears.
In the last two games while dealing with the injury, the 26-year-old has piled up a healthy 15 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown with quarterback Joshua Dobbs now leading the offense. All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson (hamstring) may remain out on Monday, too, so Hockenson remains a locked-in, high-end TE1 for fantasy managers. In the first meeting with Chicago in Week 6, Hockenson had six catches on eight targets for 50 yards.
Dallas Goedert Injury Update
Despite already being ruled out for the Week 12 game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) continues to trend in the right direction with his fractured forearm. Goedert did a cardio workout on Friday and seems to be in great spirits while indicating he's healing quicker than initially expected. "We have high hopes that Dallas is going to be back.
Again, I don't know when. I think that's unfair to Dallas...There is a reason he's not an IR," head coach Nick Sirianni said last week. Goedert fractured his forearm in Week 9 and the Eagles had their bye in Week 10, so this Sunday will be his second missed game. There's a chance the 28-year-old could be back in Week 13 for a showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Until he return, Jack Stoll should be the Eagles' starting TE, but he's not on the fantasy radar.
Gerald Everett Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (chest) is officially questionable to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 12. He missed last week's clash and is looking to return following his one-game absence. If active, Everett would be a low-end fantasy TE2.
Hayden Hurst Injury Update
Carolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst (concussion) has been ruled out again for the Week 12 game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. It will be the second straight game that Hurst will miss after suffering a concussion in Week 10 on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears. The 30-year-old veteran hasn't really been on the fantasy radar at all in his first year in Carolina in 2023, as he has only 18 receptions for 184 yards and one touchdown in nine games played this year.
Tommy Tremble played most of the offensive snaps for the Panthers last week with Hurst out and caught just one of his three targets in the blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but his one catch went for a touchdown. Tremble will be a touchdown-dependent, low-end TE2 play in deeper leagues.
