Dallas Goedert Injury Update
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (forearm) was the only member of the team's active roster that wasn't on the practice field on Friday. Goedert suffered a fractured forearm in Week 9 and is expected to miss three to four games as a result. It's no surprise he's not practicing coming off last week's bye, and fantasy managers are going to have to be patient and keep him stashed in the meantime.
It remains to be seen how the Eagles make up for the loss of Goedert on Monday night in a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs. We'd expect both Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam to be involved, but neither player is a priority must-add off the waiver wire.
Pat Freiermuth Injury Update
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) was able to practice in full on Thursday and Friday, but he's officially listed as questionable to come off Injured Reserve and play in Week 11 against the division-rival Cleveland Browns. We should know by the deadline on Saturday to activate players from IR as to whether Freiermuth will suit up for the first time since Week 4.
The Steelers could certainly use their starting tight end against a tough Browns defense on the road. The 25-year-old appears to be on the right side of questionable. If he's back in action, he'll serve as a shaky touchdown-dependent TE2 in fantasy lineups against the Browns. In Week 2 against Cleveland, he had just one catch for a two-yard gain.
Gerald Everett Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers tight end Gerald Everett (chest) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. He first suffered the injury in Week 10 and wasn't able to make enough progress in practice this week.
In his absence, Donald Parham Jr. should see a bigger role. The 6-foot-8 tight end has managed to catch four touchdown passes as Everett's backup this season, so it's fair to imagine that he could be a premier red zone threat when penciled into a starting role this Sunday. He should be viewed as a mid-to-low TE2 in fantasy football.
Hayden Hurst Injury Update
Carolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst (concussion) has officially been ruled out for the Week 11 game against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering a concussion in last Thursday night's loss to the Chicago Bears. Hurst has been a non-factor for fantasy managers in his first year in Carolina in an offense that has mostly struggled with rookie quarterback Bryce Young leading the charge.
The 30-year-old tight end has only 18 catches for 184 yards and one touchdown in nine games played. With Hurst now officially out, Tommy Tremble will see a boost in playing time and targets and could be worth a shot as a touchdown-dependent TE2 streamer this weekend. In addition to Hurst being out, tight ends Stephen Sullivan (shoulder) and Ian Thomas (calf) are questionable.
