Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another start'em and sit'em piece as we look ahead to Week 7! There are only two teams on bye this week (Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys), but most fantasy teams are dealing with multiple injuries on their roster. This Week 7 matchups analysis and Start 'Em, Sit 'Em piece will help you get through those injuries and make the right lineup decisions this weekend.
Last week, players like Caleb Williams, Stefon Diggs, and Zay Flowers were all on the love list. Williams finished as the overall QB1 behind a four-touchdown day, and both Diggs and Flowers finished as top-15 wide receivers.
So let's dive into every Week 7 game (Sunday through Monday) and analyze the best starts and sits. This article will go through every player in every game to determine which players you should be starting in fantasy this week.

Matchups Analysis - Sunday 9:30 a.m. EDT Game (London)
New England Patriots at Jacksonville Jaguars
Spread: Jaguars -5.5
Implied Total: Patriots (18.5) vs. Jaguars (24)
Matchups We Love:
QB Drake Maye
Drake Maye made his first career start last week and finished as the QB10 after throwing for 243 yards and three touchdowns. Now, he gets a juicy matchup against a Jaguars secondary that has given up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Jacksonville has allowed a top-12 fantasy quarterback in all six weeks, so Maye is a high-end QB2 in Week 7.
Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) did not play in last week's loss, so his status for Week 7 is up in the air. However, if he suits up, he is a strong RB2 option. Jacksonville has given up the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs this season while allowing two running backs (Trey Sermon and D'Andre Swift) to finish top six at the position in consecutive weeks. If Stevenson can't go, Antonio Gibson would be a nice RB2 fill-in.
Update: Stevenson is expected to play on Sunday.
Jaguars RBs
It remains unlikely that Travis Etienne (hamstring) will suit up in Week 7. As a result, that puts Tank Bigsby into RB2 territory against the Patriots. New England is allowing over 4.9 yards per carry to running backs this season while giving up the sixth-most fantasy points to the position. D'Ernest Johnson is also a sneaky flex play in deeper leagues after he totaled 56% of Jacksonville's offensive snaps last week.
Update: Etienne is questionable for Sunday. He would be an RB2 if he suits up.
With Maye under center, expect DeMario Douglas' fantasy value to continue to rise. He is coming off his best game of the season -- catching six passes for 92 yards and one touchdown -- and now faces a Jaguars secondary that has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. After Keenan Allen caught two touchdown passes in the slot against this secondary last week, Douglas could be a flex option.
Matchups We Hate:
For the second consecutive week, Brian Thomas Jr. finds himself on the hate list. That's because, in Week 7, the rookie will likely be shadowed by Christian Gonzalez on Sunday. Despite Gonzalez allowing at least five catches in four of the past five games, he ranks top 25 in catch rate allowed (54.5%), yards per reception allowed (7.9), and yards per target allowed (4.3). So Thomas is a riskier WR2 option in London.
Other Matchups:
Trevor Lawrence has been a solid QB2 option in recent weeks, finishing as a top-16 fantasy quarterback in three straight games. Now, he gets a matchup against a Patriots secondary that has allowed a top-16 quarterback finish in four of the past five weeks. So if you are in a Superflex league or a deeper one-quarterback league, Lawrence could be a fine start.
It has been an up-and-down year for Christian Kirk, as he has scored less than 10 PPR fantasy points in three of six games. But in Week 7, he has some flex potential against a Patriots defense that is allowing 14.1 PPR fantasy points per game to slot wideouts. Kirk is more of a floor play than a ceiling play this weekend.
TE Evan Engram
After missing the past four games due to a hamstring injury, Evan Engram returned to Jacksonville's lineup and caught 10 passes for 102 yards. As a result, you are starting him in almost all formats in Week 7 against the Patriots. New England has allowed two tight ends (George Kittle and Tyler Conklin) to finish top four at the position in two of the past four weeks.
TE Hunter Henry
Hunter Henry had his second-best fantasy game of the season last week with Maye under center. The veteran finished with 13.1 PPR fantasy points and will enter Week 7 as a sneaky low-end TE1 against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has allowed a top-12 fantasy tight end in three of the past four weeks, and Cole Kmet just finished as the overall TE1 against that secondary last week.
Injuries:
- Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring)
- Rhamondre Stevenson (foot)
Matchups Analysis - Sunday 1:00 EDT Games
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills
Spread: Bills -9
Implied Total: Titans (16.5) vs. Bills (25)
Matchups We Love:
RB Tony Pollard
Tony Pollard will continue to be a must-start running back in Week 7. He has finished as a top-15 running back in three of five games this season and now goes up against a Bills defense that has given up the second-most fantasy points to the position in 2024. Buffalo has also allowed a top-10 fantasy running back in five of six weeks. With Tyjae Spears (hamstring) out, look for Pollard to have a strong game this weekend.
Matchups We Hate:
WR Amari Cooper
The Bills made a surprise move to acquire Amari Cooper this week. However, he's a risky play in his first game in Buffalo. He has a tough matchup on the outside against L'Jarius Sneed. Sneed hasn't been as lockdown of a corner as in years past, but he ranks eighth in catch rate allowed (44.4%) while allowing only nine catches all year. So Cooper is a riskier option in Week 7 as he is still learning the playbook.
First look at Amari Cooper during his first day of #Bills practice #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/jXf3V5sMRk
— alex brasky (@alexbrasky) October 17, 2024
Titans WRs
At this point in the season, fantasy managers can't be starting Calvin Ridley or DeAndre Hopkins in fantasy. Ridley has totaled under 2.6 PPR fantasy points in three straight games, and Hopkins has only scored in double figures in PPR formats just once this season. As a result, they should both be left on benches in Week 7, especially against a Bills secondary that has allowed the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts.
Update: With Mason Rudolph starting, Ridley and Hopkins are still risky plays.
It'll be interesting to see if Dalton Kincaid's fantasy value takes a small hit with Cooper's arrival. Either way, though, fantasy managers should think twice about starting him in Week 7. The Titans have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends this year and have yet to allow a top-15 fantasy finish at the position. Therefore, Kincaid is a riskier TE1 option this weekend.
Other Matchups:
QB Josh Allen
Josh Allen remains a strong QB1 option in Week 7 against the Titans. Despite Tennessee giving up only 14.7 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, it has allowed a top-12 fantasy quarterback in two of the past four weeks. As a result, Allen should be started in every format on Sunday.
QB Will Levis
Will Levis has not taken that Year 2 leap and will remain a risky QB2 option in fantasy in Week 7. The Bills have allowed only one quarterback (Lamar Jackson) to finish as top-14 quarterback, and C.J. Stroud is the only quarterback to throw for over 300 yards in a game against them this season. Given Levis's struggles through the air across the first six weeks, he'll be a low-end QB2 this week.
Update: Levis will not play in Week 7 due to a shoulder injury. Rudolph will get the start, but he's a low-end QB2.
RB James Cook
James Cook (toe) missed last week's game due to a toe injury, but he should return in Week 7 against the Titans. However, this matchup isn't the best for Cook. Opposing running backs are averaging only 3.3 yards per carry against Tennessee this year, and only two running backs (Breece Hall and Braelon Allen) have finished as top-12 running backs against it this year. So in his return, Cook is a riskier RB2 option.
Update: James Cook practiced fully on Friday and is expected to play on Sunday.
Khalil Shakir (ankle) was limited last week due to an ankle injury and only played 38% of the team's offensive snaps. Even though he will see more snaps in Week 7, the Bills wideout is hard to trust. Tennessee has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts, and Shakir's matchup (Roger McCreary) has only allowed 85 receiving yards the entire year. So he should only be started in deeper formats this weekend.
Injuries:
- James Cook (toe)
- Will Levis (shoulder)
Houston Texans at Green Bay Packers
Spread: Packers -2.5
Implied Total: Texans (22.5) vs. Packers (25)
Matchups We Love:
WR Jayden Reed
There's no doubt that Jayden Reed is Jordan Love's favorite target in the passing game. He has seen at least six targets in every game with Love and now draws a great matchup against the Texans. He'll be matched up against Jalen Pitre, and Pitre just allowed Douglas to have a career day in the slot. Houston has also given up the 10th-most fantasy points to slot wideouts this season. So Reed is a strong play in Week 7.
With Nico Collins (hamstring) out, Dalton Schultz saw a season-high eight targets last week. As a result, he's a sneaky TE1 play this week in a great matchup. The Packers have given up the third-most fantasy points to the position this season while allowing five tight ends to finish top-12. That makes Schultz a potential start in 10-plus team leagues this weekend.
Matchups We Hate:
QB C.J. Stroud
The Packers defense is legit, and that does not bode well for Stroud in Week 7. Not only has he failed to finish as a top-12 fantasy quarterback in four of the past five weeks, but Green Bay has given up the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to the position this year. That defense has also only allowed one quarterback (Sam Darnold) to finish top-10 since Week 1. So Stroud will be a low-end QB1 option.
RB Josh Jacobs
Josh Jacobs hasn't lived up to fantasy expectations so far, as he is only averaging 11.9 PPR fantasy points through the first six weeks. Things don't get easier for him either in Week 7 against the Texans. Houston has allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs, and opposing backs are averaging only 3.8 yards per carry against that front seven this season. That makes Jacobs a low-end RB2 option on Sunday.
TE Tucker Kraft
Tucker Kraft finished as the overall TE1 in both Week 4 and Week 5. However, he only caught two passes for 13 yards last week. So which Kraft will show up this week against the Texans? Chances are it's the latter because Houston has given up the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends, and the Packers playmaker has seen five targets or less in five of six games this season. Therefore, he's a risky TE1 option in Week 7.
Other Matchups:
QB Jordan Love
In three of four starts this season, Love has finished as a top-12 fantasy quarterback. Now, he gets a solid matchup against a Houston secondary that just allowed a QB10 fantasy finish to Maye last week. Given that he has thrown at least two touchdowns in every start this season and the Texans have allowed at least two pass touchdowns in four of six games, the Packers quarterback is a strong QB1 option this weekend.
RB Joe Mixon
Joe Mixon returned from a three-game absence last week and finished as the RB2. That now marks the second time out of three games that Mixon has finished as the RB2 this season. So you're starting him in Week 7. He also has a great matchup against a Packers run defense that is allowing over 4.6 yards per carry to opposing backs this season.
WR Stefon Diggs
Diggs has been one of the most consistent fantasy options this season. He currently ranks as the WR6, and he'll continue to be a strong fantasy WR2 moving forward. The Texans wideout also has a solid matchup in the slot this week against both Javon Bullard and Keisean Nixon. Bullard has a 46 PFF grade in coverage this season, while Nixon is allowing a 102.3 passer rating when he is in coverage.
WR Tank Dell
Tank Dell had his best fantasy game of the season last week, totaling 18.7 PPR fantasy points. Dell saw a season-high nine targets in that game, and he should continue to see opportunities on offense. He has a tougher matchup on Sunday against Jaire Alexander, but the matchup shouldn't scare fantasy managers away from starting him. Alexander is allowing 15.9 yards per reception this season, so the Texans wideout is a low-end WR2.
WRs Christian Watson/Romeo Doubs
Love does a great job at distributing the ball on offense. Both Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs saw only four targets last week, so they are risky plays moving forward. However, the Texans have allowed nine receiving touchdowns to wideouts this season (tied for the third most). That makes both Doubs and Watson potential flex plays this week in what should be a high-scoring game.
Injuries:
- Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder)
Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Spread: Eagles -3
Implied Total: Eagles (23.25) vs. Giants (20.25)
Matchups We Love:
QB Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts has finished as top-10 fantasy quarterback in three of his five games this season, and expect another strong fantasy finish in Week 7 against the Giants. New York has allowed the third-most rush yards to quarterbacks (200), which included Geno Smith and Joe Burrow combining for 127 rush yards over the past two weeks. Given that Hurts has rushed 56 times for 196 yards so far this year, he could be in for a big fantasy day.
WR Malik Nabers
Malik Nabers (concussion) will be back in Week 7, and he'll slot in as a WR1 again. Before his concussion in Week 4, the rookie had three top-6 fantasy finishes while seeing at least 12 targets in three of four contests. Nabers now gets a great matchup against an Eagles secondary that is allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to wideouts this season. Make sure to get him in your lineups this weekend.
If you are looking for a player with a high floor, Wan'Dale Robinson could be a strong start in Week 7. He has scored in double figures in PPR formats in five of six games while finishing as a top-40 wide receiver in every contest. The Eagles might have made a switch at slot corner last week and started Cooper DeJean. But, given that Philadelphia has allowed the third-most points per game to slot wideouts, Robinson is a nice play.
WR A.J. Brown
Brown has scored over 22 PPR fantasy points in both of his games this season, and another big fantasy day should be in store for him in Week 7. He'll likely be shadowed by Deonte Banks in this game, and Banks has allowed over 320 receiving yards and 120 yards after the catch this season. So the Eagles wideout is a must-start in Week 7 against the Giants.
Matchups We Hate:
None
Other Matchups:
QB Daniel Jones
Daniel Jones didn't have the best fantasy day last week, finishing with 12.8 fantasy points. However, he'll be a high-end QB2 in Week 7 against the Eagles. Philadelphia has allowed a top-12 fantasy quarterback in three of five games this season, and Jones' rushing upside makes him a nice QB2 option in Superflex formats.
If you have Saquon Barkley, you are starting him against the Giants. Despite scoring less than 14 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games, he remains a must-start in Week 7. New York is allowing over 4.8 yards per carry to opposing backs this season, and two running backs (Aaron Jones and Brian Robinson Jr.) have rushed for over 90 yards against this defense.
Giants RBs
If Devin Singletary (groin) winds up playing this week after missing the last two games, it'll be hard to start any Giants running back this week. Tyrone Tracy Jr. has earned more opportunities moving forward, but how much work will he see with Singletary returning? So at this point, it's best to wait a week and see how this backfield plays out. The Eagles have also yet to allow a top-12 fantasy running back this season.
Update: Singletary will play in Week 7.
DeVonta Smith only saw four targets last week but still managed to score above 15 PPR fantasy points for the third time this year. New York has done a great job shutting down slot wideouts this year, as it has allowed the fourth-fewest points per game to the slot. However, that likely isn't enough to sit Smith this week.
When Dallas Goedert (hamstring) left last week's game on the first drive, it was Grant Calcaterra who stepped up his place. He played 92% of the Eagles' offensive snaps and caught four passes for 67 yards. With Goedert expected to miss this week, Calcaterra is an interesting play in deeper formats. The Giants have allowed at least four catches to the position in five of six games in 2024.
Injuries:
- Dallas Goedert (hamstring)
Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings
Spread: Vikings -2.5
Implied Total: Lions (23.5) vs. Vikings (26)
Matchups We Love:
Amon-Ra St. Brown only saw four targets last week, his fewest in a full game since Week 12 of the 2021 season. Still, he remains a must-start WR1, especially in Week 7 against the Vikings. Minnesota has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to slot wideouts. St. Brown's matchup in this game will also be Byron Murphy Jr. -- who has given up the most receptions (35) this season.
Justin Jefferson enters Week 7 looking to pick up where he left off before the bye. Jefferson scored at least 15 PPR fantasy points in each of his first five games and now has a great matchup against the Lions secondary. Detroit has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season, so the Vikings superstar is a must-start option.
TE Sam LaPorta
It has been a disappointing start to the season for Sam LaPorta. After finishing as the overall TE1 in 2023, LaPorta has scored in double figures in PPR formats just once this year. However, he has a real opportunity to post solid numbers in Week 7 against the Vikings. Minnesota has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game to tight ends, and it has allowed at least six catches to the position in three of the past four games.
Matchups We Hate:
QB Jared Goff
Jared Goff might have scored 25-plus points in back-to-back games, but fantasy managers should stay away from him in most formats in Week 7. The Vikings have allowed the ninth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and only Love (QB3) has finished as a top-13 fantasy quarterback against this defense. Therefore, Goff is a low-end QB2 against this tough Minnesota secondary.
Lions RBs
Both David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have tough matchups in Week 7 against the Vikings. Minnesota has given up the second-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, and only Jordan Mason (RB11) has finished as a top-24 running back against that defense this year. You're likely still starting both Montgomery and Gibbs this week, but expectations need to be tempered.
RB Aaron Jones
It remains to be seen if Jones will play in Week 7. He injured his hip before the team's bye and could miss this week's game against the Lions. Even if he suits up, though, he is a riskier RB2 option against a Lions defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season. If he does miss, Ty Chandler will become a low-end RB2 in a tough matchup.
Update: Jones is questionable for Sunday.
T.J. Hockenson (knee) could make his season debut in Week 7. However, it's best to keep him on your bench this week. He will likely be limited and has a tough matchup against the Lions on Sunday. Detroit has allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends this season, and no tight end has caught more than four passes in a game against that secondary since Week 1.
Update: Hockenson has been ruled out for Sunday.
Other Matchups:
QB Sam Darnold
Darnold has finished as a top-15 fantasy quarterback in four of his five games this season. However, he's a riskier QB1 option in Week 7 against the Lions. Detroit has only given up four passing touchdowns through its five games while allowing the 11th-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. After seeing what this secondary did to Dak Prescott last week, Darnold will come in as more of a QB2 option.
Jordan Addison has a great matchup in this game against Carlton Davis III and Terrion Arnold. Both corners have struggled this season, and Davis has allowed 27 catches through five contests. However, Addison will be a low-end flex play in Week 7. He has yet to catch more than three passes in a game this season.
Fantasy managers have seen Jameson Williams' big-play potential across the past two games. Despite only catching five passes in those two contests, he finished as the WR24 and WR17 in PPR formats. So Williams is a solid flex play in Week 7 against a Vikings defense that has allowed the most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season.
Injuries:
- T.J. Hockenson (knee)
- Aaron Jones (hip)
Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons
Spread: Falcons -3
Implied Total: Seahawks (24.25) vs. Falcons (27.25)
Matchups We Love:
QB Kirk Cousins
Kirk Cousins has had one really good fantasy day (QB1), one solid fantasy day (QB8), and four really bad fantasy days (QB23, QB23, QB26, and QB28). However, Cousins is a sneaky QB1 option in Week 7 against the Seahawks. Seattle has allowed a top-10 fantasy quarterback in three straight games while giving up 804 pass yards and seven pass touchdowns during that span.
TE Kyle Pitts
Kyle Pitts has scored in double figures in PPR formats in back-to-back games and now gets a great matchup against the Seahawks in Week 7. Seattle has given up the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends this year, and that defense has allowed three tight ends to finish top-12 in three of the past five weeks. Therefore, Pitts will come in as a solid TE1 option.
Kenneth Walker continues to be involved in the passing game. He has seen at least five targets in three straight games and remains a strong RB1 option heading into Week 7. The Falcons have allowed six different rushers to total at least 70 rush yards against them this season while also giving up the sixth-most catches to running backs.
Update: Walker has been downgraded to questionable with an illness.
Matchups We Hate:
None
Other Matchups:
QB Geno Smith
The Falcons have done a nice job against quarterbacks this season and have yet to allow more than 240 pass yards in a game. As a result, only two quarterbacks (Hurts and Baker Mayfield) have finished as a top-15 fantasy quarterback against them. However, given that Geno Smith has thrown for at least 280 yards and one touchdown in five straight games, he isn't a bad play this week. He's a low-end QB1 in Week 7.
Bijan Robinson finally had that big fantasy game last week, finishing as the RB3. He now has another solid matchup on the ground against the Seahawks. Opposing running backs are averaging over 5.2 yards per carry against Seattle this year, and just last week, it allowed over 70 rush yards to both Mason and Isaac Guerendo. That makes Robinson a must-start, and Tyler Allgeier as more of a low-end flex play.
WR DK Metcalf
DK Metcalf has totaled less than 10 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games and now will likely draw the A.J. Terrell shadow in Week 7. However, Terrell hasn't been as great in coverage this season. He ranks 82nd in catch rate allowed (74.1%), 78th in passer rating allowed (120), and 77th in man success rate (59%). So Metcalf should have his way in this game. He's a solid WR2 option this weekend.
WR Drake London
After scoring only 3.5 PPR fantasy points in Week 1, Drake London has finished as a top-20 wide receiver in four of the past five weeks. He has also seen at least nine targets in four straight games, so fantasy managers shouldn't be sitting him in Week 7. His 27.6% target share ranks 13th amongst wide receivers through six weeks.
With London locked into the WR1 role in Atlanta's offense, Darnell Mooney is going to have some up-and-down weeks. However, he'll remain a low-end WR2 option in Week 7 against the Seahawks. Seattle corner Riq Woolen (ankle) is dealing with an ankle injury and could miss Sunday's game. That is certainly great news for Mooney this weekend.
WRs Tyler Lockett/Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba will both be solid flex plays in Week 7. Both wideouts have scored in double figures in PPR formats in three straight games, and both have the potential to make it four straight on Sunday.
Lockett will have a tougher matchup against Clark Phillips III this weekend. Phillips has an 85.5 PFF grade in coverage this year, and he hasn't allowed many big plays. So the veteran is a riskier flex option in Week 7. However, Smith-Njigba should be in for a strong game against Dee Alford. Alford has allowed at least six catches in four of the past five games.
Injuries:
None
Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns
Spread: Bengals -6.5
Implied Total: Bengals (24.5) vs. Browns (18)
Matchups We Love:
The Browns secondary has had a hard time stopping WR1s this season. Brown (116 yards and one touchdown), Terry McLaurin (112 yards), Nabers (78 yards and two rundowns), and Thomas (94 yards) all put up big receiving lines against Cleveland this year. As a result, Ja'Marr Chase should be in for a strong fantasy day.
TE David Njoku
With Cooper leaving, David Njoku is expected to be the Browns' top option in the passing game moving forward. He also has a great matchup in Week 7 against a Bengals defense that has allowed 12 fantasy points per game to tight ends. With Njoku increasing his snap share up to 74% last week, he is a strong TE1 this weekend.
Matchups We Hate:
RB Nick Chubb
Nick Chubb (knee) will make his return on Sunday, 13 months after suffering a brutal knee injury against the Steelers. However, fantasy managers should think twice about starting him in Week 7. Chubb will be on a firm snap count and likely won't see enough opportunities to even be a flex play this weekend. If you are planning to start him, you have to hope he gets into the end zone.
Update: Chubb will play on Sunday.
Bengals TEs
Preferably, fantasy managers shouldn't be looking to start either Mike Gesicki or Erick All Jr. in Week 7. Gesicki played only 36% of the offensive snaps last week, and All has caught two passes or less in back-to-back games. Given that Cleveland has allowed only one top-10 fantasy tight-end finish this year, it's best to stay away from this tight-end room this weekend.
Other Matchups:
Deshaun Watson has been the worst quarterback this season and just lost his top wide receiver. Even though this is a great matchup for Watson against a Bengals secondary that has allowed a top-14 fantasy quarterback in three of the past four weeks, he is too risky to start in most formats. He has scored less than 16 fantasy points in five of six games this season. He should only be started in deeper Superflex leagues.
QB Joe Burrow
The Browns are only giving up 15.1 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, but they have allowed a top-12 fantasy quarterback in three of the past four games. As a result, Burrow is a strong QB1 option in Week 7. The Bengals quarterback has scored at least 17 fantasy points in five straight contests.
Bengals RBs
For the first time this season, Chase Brown out-snapped Zack Moss (62% to 45%). Therefore, it appears Brown is the running back to own in this Cincinnati offense. He has scored in double figures in PPR formats in three straight games and should be a potential flex play in Week 7 against a tough Browns defense that has only allowed one top-18 running back this season. As for Moss, he is too risky to start after last week's dud.
WR Tee Higgins
Since making his season debut in Week 3, Tee Higgins leads the team with 37 targets. His 28.5% target share ranks eighth amongst wideouts this season, which has helped him finish with at least 12 PPR fantasy points in three straight games. That makes Higgins a high-floor WR2 option in Week 7.
WR Jerry Jeudy
Jerry Jeudy should see more opportunities on offense moving forward. Since he plays both out wide and in the slot, he'll likely be matched up against all three Cincinnati corners in Week 7. So Jeudy will come in as a low-end flex play against a Bengals defense that has allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to wideouts this season.
Injuries:
- Nick Chubb (knee)
- Jerome Ford (hamstring)
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts
Spread: Colts -3
Implied Total: Dolphins (20.75) vs. Colts (23.75)
Matchups We Love:
Tyler Huntley has a great matchup in Week 7 against the Colts secondary. Indianapolis has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season, and five of the six quarterbacks it has faced have finished as a top-17 option. As a result, Huntley is a sneaky QB2 in Superflex formats this weekend.
Colts RBs
Jonathan Taylor (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, so it appears he could miss another game. Either way, though, whichever Colts running back starts in Week 7 should be started in most leagues. If Taylor plays, you are starting him as a strong RB1 option. If Sermon draws another start, he is a solid RB2 option against a Dolphins defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing backs.
Update: Taylor has been ruled out for Sunday.
De'Von Achane was dealing with a concussion heading into the bye, but he has already cleared concussion protocol and will play in Week 7. If you roster him in any league, you should be starting him in most formats. The Colts have given up the fourth-most rush yards (717) to running backs through six weeks, and four different running backs have rushed for over 90 yards in a game against them. So Achane is a solid RB2 option.
Matchups We Hate:
Michael Pittman Jr. has scored in double figures in PPR formats in three straight contests. However, Anthony Richardson will return in Week 7, and Pittman figures to be guarded by Jalen Ramsey for most of the game. Ramsey has allowed only eight catches for 76 yards so far this season while ranking 10th in passer rating allowed (67.4). As a result, Pittman is a risky WR3 in Week 7.
Update: Pittman is questionable for Sunday with a back injury, the same one he played through last week.
Other Matchups:
QB Anthony Richardson
On paper, this might seem like a tough matchup for Richardson. The Dolphins have allowed the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. However, they have faced Lawrence, Allen (in a blowout), Levis, and Jacoby Brissett in four of their five games. While the Colts quarterback is a risky start in his first game back, his ceiling makes him a low-end QB1 option against Miami in Week 7.
Dolphins WRs
Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have been unstartable with Tua Tagovailoa out. Hill has finished outside the top 30 in four straight games, and Waddle has finished outside the top 45 in three consecutive games. Even in a great matchup against a Colts secondary that has allowed the ninth-most receiving yards to wideouts (993) this season, both wideouts are risky plays.
With injuries piling up for fantasy managers, Hill is a fine WR2 option this week. He caught six passes for 69 yards in Week 5, and with a full bye week to plan for Indianapolis, the hope is that Miami will game plan to get him more short passes. As for Waddle, though, it's best to leave him on your bench in Week 7.
WR Josh Downs
It'll be interesting to see how Josh Downs does with Richardson back under center. Over two full games with Joe Flacco, Downs finished as the WR18 and WR14 in PPR formats. With the quarterback switch, though, the young wideout is more of a WR3 in Week 7. He has a great matchup against Kader Kohou in the slot, but he's risky to trust with a quarterback who completed only 36 passes in the first three weeks.
Update: Downs is questionable for Sunday with a toe injury, the same one he played through last week.
Injuries:
- Jonathan Taylor (ankle)
- Tua Tagovailoa (concussion)
- Michael Pittman Jr. (back)
- Josh Downs (toe)
Matchup Analysis - Sunday Afternoon Games
Carolina Panthers at Washington Commanders
Spread: Commanders -8.5
Implied Total: Panthers (21.5) vs. Commanders (30)
Matchups We Love:
Jayden Daniels is currently averaging over 22 fantasy points per game and now gets a great matchup against the Panthers in Week 7. Carolina has given up at least two pass touchdowns in five of six games this season while allowing a top-12 fantasy quarterback in two of the past three weeks. So this is another game where fantasy managers should be starting Daniels.
QB Andy Dalton
Aside from his rough Week 5 performance, Andy Dalton has been a strong QB2 option in three of his four starts this year. He'll remain in that territory in Week 7 against the Commanders. This is a great matchup for Dalton, considering Washington has given up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, and four different quarterbacks have finished as a top-14 option against it. So the veteran will be a high-end QB2.
Commanders RBs
Brian Robinson Jr. (knee) did not play in Week 6, but he has a great chance to return this week against the Panthers. If you own him, you are starting him in all formats. Carolina has given up the most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. That also makes Austin Ekeler a sneaky flex play in Week 7, considering both Robinson (RB3) and Allgeier (RB11) finished top-12 at the position last week.
Update: Robinson is questionable for Sunday.
It'll be interesting to see what happens to Chuba Hubbard once Jonathon Brooks (knee) returns. For now, though, fantasy managers should continue starting him. The Commanders are allowing over 5.2 yards per carry to opposing backs this season, and Derrick Henry just ran all over that defense for 132 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6. So Hubbard is a strong start in Week 7.
Diontae Johnson has been a borderline WR1 since Andy Dalton has taken over, and he'll continue to be a must-start in Week 7. Washington has allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season, and WR1s have torched this secondary all season. Last week, Flowers reeled in nine catches for 132 yards. As a result, make sure to get Johnson in your lineup -- assuming he plays as he is dealing with an ankle injury.
Update: Johnson is questionable for Week 7.
Matchups We Hate:
None
Other Matchups:
WR Terry McLaurin
McLaurin has totaled at least one touchdown or 100 receiving yards in four straight games. As a result, he will enter Week 7 as a solid WR2 option in most formats. The Panthers have allowed a top-15 fantasy wide receiver in five of six contests this season, which certainly is great news for the Commanders wideout this weekend.
In his last two full games, Xavier Legette has totaled 19.6 PPR fantasy points and 11.3 PPR fantasy points. Therefore, he is a potential flex play in Week 7 against the Commanders. Washington's secondary has not been great this season, and Legette should be matched up against Mike Sainristil for parts of the game. Sainristil ranks 81st in man success rate, 86th in catch rate allowed, and 90th in passer rating allowed.
TE Zach Ertz
Zach Ertz has been a high-floor fantasy option through the first six weeks. While he hasn't totaled more than 11 PPR fantasy points in any game this season, he has caught at least four passes in three of the past five games. Given that Carolina has allowed the seventh-most receiving yards (320) to tight ends this season, Ertz is a low-end TE1 option in a great matchup.
Injuries:
- Brian Robinson Jr. (knee)
- Diontae Johnson (ankle)
Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams
Spread: Rams -6.5
Implied Total: Raiders (18.5) vs. Rams (25)
Matchups We Love:
Matthew Stafford could get Cooper Kupp (ankle) back this week, so he'll have some potential in Superflex formats against the Raiders. Las Vegas has allowed a top-10 fantasy quarterback in four of the past five weeks. Quarterbacks like Dalton (QB8) and Bo Nix (QB8) both had strong days against this secondary, making Stafford a solid QB2 option in Week 7.
Kyren Williams has a great opportunity to build on his strong start in Week 7 against the Raiders. Las Vegas has given up the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs while allowing four top-12 fantasy finishers at the position this season. It has also let up the fourth-most catches (36) to backs through six weeks. So Williams is a must-start in all formats.
TE Brock Bowers
With Davante Adams now gone, Brock Bowers should continue to put up big fantasy numbers. He has seen 22 targets over the last two games and now faces a Rams secondary that has had a hard time stopping tight ends this season. Los Angeles has given up the second-most fantasy points to the position in 2024. So lock Bowers in as your TE1 in Week 7.
Matchups We Hate:
None
Other Matchups:
Even though the Rams secondary has had its struggles to start the season, Aidan O'Connell should not be started in most cases in Week 7. O'Connell has scored over 18 fantasy points in only two of his 11 career starts, and Los Angeles hasn't allowed more than 225 pass yards in two of the past three games. So he should only be started in deeper Superflex leagues.
Raiders RBs
If Zamir White (groin) suits up, it might be tough to rely on any Raiders running back in Week 7. White and Alexander Mattison will likely split reps out of the backfield, which makes both backs too hard to trust in fantasy this weekend. However, if White misses, Mattison becomes a solid RB2 option. The Rams have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season.
Update: White is questionable for Week 7.
WR Cooper Kupp
Kupp could make his return in Week 7, and if he does, you should be starting him. With Puka Nacua (knee) still sidelined, the veteran should be heavily targeted in his first game back. He'll be matched up against Nate Hobbs in the slot, and Hobbs has allowed at least 60 receiving yards in two of the past four games. So make sure to get the 31-year-old in your lineup in Week 7.
Update: Kupp will be a game-time decision for Week 7.
Raiders WRs
It remains to be seen if Jakobi Meyers (ankle) will play in Week 7. Assuming he does, though, he will be a solid WR2 option against a Rams defense that has allowed three different wide receivers to total over 120 receiving yards in a game this season. As for Tre Tucker, he will be a risky flex play. O'Connell only targeted him two times last week, and the young wideout has scored under 4.8 PPR fantasy points in back-to-back games.
Update: Meyers is doubtful for Sunday, but Tucker is still a risky flex play.
With Kupp likely back, Colby Parkinson will see fewer targets. The 25-year-old tight end saw 20 targets over the past two games, which will change heading into Week 7. The Raiders have also done a great job at shutting down opposing tight ends this season. Only Mark Andrews has caught more than three passes against this defense in a game in 2024. So Parkinson is more of a TE2 on Sunday.
Injuries:
- Zamir White (groin)
- Jakobi Meyers (ankle)
- Cooper Kupp (ankle)
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers
Spread: 49ers -1.5
Implied Total: Chiefs (23) vs. 49ers (24.5)
Matchups We Love:
TE George Kittle
The Chiefs haven't been able to stop tight ends all year. They've given up the most fantasy points to the position through six weeks, and just two weeks ago, Juwan Johnson caught a season-high five passes against them. As a result, Kittle should be in line for a monster game in Week 7. He is a must-start in all formats.
Matchups We Hate:
RB Jordan Mason
Not only is Mason (shoulder) dealing with a shoulder injury that could limit his touches on Sunday, but the matchup against the Chiefs isn't a great one for him. Kansas City has given up the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, and no running back has finished top-18 at the position this season. So Mason is a riskier RB2 option in Week 7.
Other Matchups:
QB Brock Purdy
Brock Purdy has been a borderline QB1 option this season, as he currently ranks 12th in points per game at the position. However, he'll be a riskier QB1 option in Week 7 against the Chiefs. Kansas City hasn't allowed a top-12 fantasy quarterback in three straight games, and only Lamar Jackson has thrown for over 260 yards against it this season. So Purdy is a low-end QB1 this weekend.
At this point, fantasy managers can't keep starting Patrick Mahomes. He hasn't finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback since Week 12 of the 2023 season, and the 49ers defense has played better recently. San Francisco has only allowed one quarterback (Darnold) to throw for multiple touchdowns in a game this season. So Mahomes might only be a solid start in Superflex formats this week.
RB Kareem Hunt
In Week 7, Kareem Hunt will be a solid RB2 option against the 49ers. Hunt saw a whopping 27 carries in Week 5 -- his most since Week 5 of the 2017 season -- and he is the clear RB1 in this Kansas City offense. While San Francisco is allowing only 3.9 yards per carry to opposing backs this season, it has given up the fifth-most receptions (32) to the position this year.
Deebo Samuel has scored in double figures in PPR formats in four of his five games this season. As a result, make sure to get him in your fantasy lineups in Week 7. He could be matched up against Trent McDuffie for parts of this game, which isn't the best case for his fantasy value this week because McDuffie has allowed less than 40 receiving yards in every contest this season. Still, Samuel is a solid WR2 option this weekend.
Brandon Aiyuk has been one of the biggest fantasy busts this season. He has scored over 10 PPR fantasy points just once and currently ranks as the WR43 of the year. Therefore, he's too hard to trust in fantasy in Week 7. No wide receiver has also finished top-12 at the position against the Chiefs secondary in 2024.
No one knows what to expect from JuJu Smith-Schuster in Week 7. He totaled 20 PPR fantasy points the last time we saw him in Week 5, but was that a fluke? After hearing Andy Reid's comments on Smith-Schuster earlier this week, though, it appears the wideout will have a big role moving forward. Given that the 49ers have allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game to slow wideouts, Smith-Schuster could be a solid flex play.
Update: Smith-Schuster is dealing with a hamstring injury but is expected to play on Sunday.
#Chiefs HC Andy Reid on JuJu Smith-Schuster:
“Pat [Mahomes] has trust in him. We as coaches have trust in him and we’ve tried to put him in good positions for his strengths and try to utilize those… The guy opposite [Travis] Kelce ends up being very important” pic.twitter.com/CNCQMeQBLd
— The Coachspeak Index (@CoachspeakIndex) October 16, 2024
TE Travis Kelce
In two games without Rashee Rice (knee), Travis Kelce has finished as the TE3 and TE5 in PPR formats. With Rice now out for the season, Kelce will be a strong TE1 option every week moving forward. He has seen at least nine targets in consecutive games, and the 49ers allowed both Noah Fant and Trey McBride to catch six passes against them over the last two games.
Injuries:
- Rashee Rice (knee)
- Isiah Pacheco (ankle)
- Christian McCaffrey (Achilles)
- JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring)
Matchup Analysis - Sunday Night Football
New York Jets at Pittsburgh Steelers
Spread: Jets -1.5
Implied Total: Jets (20) vs. Steelers (21.5)
Matchups We Love:
None
Matchups We Hate:
Russell Wilson will replace Justin Fields at quarterback in Week 7, but the veteran is a risky QB2 option against the Jets. New York has given up the third-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, and only one quarterback (Allen) has finished as a top-20 fantasy option against that secondary this year.
Aaron Rodgers has been a solid QB2 option for fantasy managers this year, finishing as a top-15 option in three of the past five weeks. With Davante Adams now in New York, Rodgers should continue to be a solid quarterback in Superflex formats. However, the 40-year-old veteran should not be started in most cases this weekend. The Steelers have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.
George Pickens has been a disappointing fantasy option in recent weeks. He has finished outside the top 40 at the wide receiver position in four of the past five weeks. While having Wilson as his quarterback does raise his fantasy value a little bit, the matchup against Sauce Gardner in this game is not great news for him. Given that Gardner has allowed only 10 catches all year, Pickens is a risky option on Sunday night.
Other Matchups:
RB Najee Harris
On paper, this might seem like a tough matchup for Najee Harris in Week 7. The Jets are allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season, and only Jordan Mason has finished as a top-12 fantasy running back against this defense through six weeks. However, after seeing New York give up 97 rush yards to Ray Davis last week, Harris will have RB2 potential this weekend.
RB Breece Hall
With Todd Downing calling the plays last week, Hall played a season-high 87% of the offensive snaps while totaling 23 touches. So things appear to be trending up for the Jets running back heading into Week 7. Despite the matchup against Pittsburgh being tough, he is still a strong RB1 option this weekend. Pittsburgh has allowed six different running backs to catch at least three passes against it this season.
WR Davante Adams
Adams will make his Jets debut after being traded from the Raiders earlier this week. It'll be interesting to see how he fits in on this New York offense, but chances are he'll be a strong fantasy WR2 the rest of the season. In Week 7, he will likely be shadowed by Joey Porter Jr., which does hurt his fantasy potential a bit this weekend. Still, expect him to see enough opportunities to be a solid WR2 option.
The biggest question about Garrett Wilson heading into Week 7 is what his target share looks like with Adams now in New York. Wilson ranks fifth in target share (30.7%) through six weeks, and the young wideout has seen 33 targets over the past two games. You're still likely starting him in Week 7, especially since he could see more opportunities in the slot moving forward.
Pat Freiermuth's fantasy value could rise with Wilson now taking over quarterback duties in Pittsburgh. He has played at least 75% of the offensive snaps in four straight games and has seen at least four targets in four of six games this season. However, he'll be a riskier TE1 option against a Jets secondary that has allowed only one tight-end touchdown in 2024.
TE Tyler Conklin
Conklin would have been a low-end TE1 option against the Steelers this week if Adams was still with the Raiders. Pittsburgh has allowed 21 catches to tight ends over the past two weeks, and Conklin has caught at least four passes in three of the past four games. However, with another weapon in this New York offense, the 29-year-old tight end is a risky option in all formats this weekend.
Update: Conklin is questionable for Sunday night with a hip issue, the same one he played through last week.

None
Matchups Analysis - Monday Night Football
Baltimore Ravens at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Spread: Ravens -3.5
Implied Total: Ravens (26.5) vs. Buccaneers (23)
Matchups We Love:
QB Baker Mayfield
Mayfield has a great matchup on his hands in Week 7 against the Ravens. Baltimore has given up the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks while allowing four different quarterbacks to finish top-12 at the position this season. On top of that, this secondary has given up the most pass yards (1,789) and fifth-most pass touchdowns (11) through six weeks. So Mayfield is a top-5 play this week.
QB Lamar Jackson
Jackson has been the best fantasy quarterback this season and now draws a matchup against a Buccaneers defense that has allowed the third-most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Tampa Bay has also given up the fifth-most rush yards to quarterbacks (187) through six weeks while allowing a league-leading four rush touchdowns to the position. Therefore, Jackson should be in for a strong fantasy day in Week 7.
WR Chris Godwin
Chris Godwin will enter Week 7 as the overall WR1 in fantasy. So you aren't sitting him in Week 7 in a great matchup against the Ravens secondary. Baltimore has allowed the second-most receiving yards (1,122) to wide receivers this season and the seventh-most fantasy points per game to slot wideouts.
WR Zay Flowers
Flowers has finished as a top-15 fantasy wide receiver in back-to-back weeks and gets another strong matchup in Week 7 against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay has conceded the sixth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this season. With this game expected to be close, Flowers should see plenty of opportunities in the slot this week. He has reeled in at least six passes in four of six games in 2024.
WR Mike Evans
Mike Evans (hamstring) didn't practice on Thursday, but assuming he plays in Week 7, he is a must-start against the Ravens. Baltimore has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season, and playmakers like Davante Adams (110 yards and one touchdown), Ja'Marr Chase (193 yards and two touchdowns), and Terry McLaurin (53 yards and two touchdowns) all tore up this secondary.
Update: Evans will play on Monday.
TE Cade Otton
Cade Otton has become a sneaky TE1 option. He has finished as a top-8 fantasy tight end in two of the past four weeks while seeing at least six targets in three of the last four games. With a matchup against the Ravens in Week 7, Otton is a low-end TE1 on Monday. Baltimore has allowed a top-12 fantasy tight end in four of the past five weeks.
Matchups We Hate:
Buccaneers RBs
Reports have come out this week that when Rachaad White (foot) returns, the team will rotate three running backs on offense. That is certainly a mess for any fantasy manager who owns White, Bucky Irving, and now Sean Tucker. So all three backs should be avoided in Week 7. Even if White doesn't play, Irving and Tucker will be risky plays. Opposing running backs are averaging only 2.9 yards per carry against this defense this season.
Update:White is listed as questionable for Week 7.
Other Matchups:
RB Derrick Henry
Henry has been one of the best running back options through the first six weeks. He has already scored nine touchdowns while finishing as a top-10 fantasy running back in four straight weeks. Even though the Buccaneers haven't allowed a top-15 running back finish since Week 2, Henry is still a strong start in all formats this weekend.
Ravens TEs
Mark Andrews has been better in recent weeks, as the veteran has scored 9.5 PPR fantasy points and 15.6 PPR fantasy points in consecutive weeks. But he remains a risky TE1 option heading into Week 7. He has played under 60% of the team's offensive snaps in four straight games. As for Isaiah Likely, he's too hard to trust as well this week, considering he has totaled under 4.8 PPR fantasy points in four of the past five games.
Injuries:
- Rachaad White (foot)
- Mike Evans (hamstring)
Los Angeles Chargers at Arizona Cardinals
Spread: Chargers -2.5
Implied Total: Chargers (23) vs. Cardinals (20.5)
Matchups We Love:
Now, Justin Herbert being on the love list doesn't mean you should be automatically starting him this week. He has yet to finish as a top-20 fantasy quarterback this year, and he's averaging only 16 completions per game. However, he could be a potential QB2 option against the Cardinals in Week 7. Arizona has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.
Chargers WRs
It has been hard to rely on both Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey in fantasy this year. But both Chargers wideouts are potential flex plays in 12-plus team leagues in Week 7. The Cardinals have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to wideouts this year and the fourth-most fantasy points per game to slot wideouts. So McConkey is a better play of the two Chargers playmakers.
Update: Johnston (ankle) is doubtful for Monday, while McConkey is questionable.
Matchups We Hate:
RB James Conner
James Conner only scored 6.6 PPR fantasy points last week, and things don't get easier for him in Week 7 against the Chargers. Los Angeles has given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs this season. It has also yet to allow a top-16 fantasy running back through the first six weeks. As a result, Conner is a riskier RB2 option this weekend.
Other Matchups:
QB Kyler Murray
It has been an up-and-down fantasy season so far for Kyler Murray. Murray has finished as a top-5 fantasy quarterback twice through six weeks while also finishing outside the top 16 three times. So it might be hard to trust him as your QB1 this week. But after seeing what Bo Nix did last week against the Chargers -- rushing for 61 yards and finishing with 21.7 fantasy points -- Murray will be a low-end QB1 in Week 7.
RB J.K. Dobbins
J.K. Dobbins saw a career-high 25 carries in last week's win over the Denver Broncos. While Dobbins won't see that many carries every week, he is a strong RB2 option this week against the Cardinals. He has finished as a top-15 running back in three of five games, and the Cardinals have allowed four running backs to finish top-15 at the position over the past four weeks.
There's a chance that Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) will suit up on Monday after practicing on Thursday. However, he'll be a low-end WR2 in Week 7 against the Chargers. Harrison has totaled over 65 receiving yards just once this season and now faces a Chargers secondary that has yet to allow a top-15 fantasy finish at the wide receiver position.
Update: Harrison practiced in full on Saturday, and he will play on Monday.
On paper, this might not seem like the best matchup for Michael Wilson, as the Chargers have given up the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. But Los Angeles' secondary is currently banged up, and Ja'Sir Taylor (fibula) and Kristian Fulton (hamstring) could miss Monday's game. That makes Wilson a potential flex play in 12-plus team leagues. If Harrison is out, Wilson would be an even better play.
TE Trey McBride
McBride is Murray's favorite target in the passing game. He has caught at least six passes in three of the past four games while finishing in double figures in PPR formats in all three of those contests. The Cardinals tight end now faces a Chargers secondary that has allowed a top-3 fantasy tight end twice this season. So get him into your lineups this week.
