Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks: Roschon Johnson, Jahan Dotson, Dylan Laube

Roschon Johnson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Who should I start for Week 12? Fantasy football outlooks for Roschon Johnson, Jahan Dotson, Dylan Laube. Our expert fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks.

Injuries at the running back position late in the season can put fantasy teams into desperate situations. RB is a scarce position, and it can be hard to find replacements when one of your weekly starters suddenly isn't able to play.

In a similar vein, though NFL teams' WR2 players don't typically have big games on a weekly basis, sometimes they pop off, and the upside helps propel teams to wins when that happens. Teams with better-than-average second-string wideouts can provide nice upside through those players.

So who are three players who could have bigger roles due to injuries, and should you start them?

Should I Start Roschon Johnson for Fantasy Football?

Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson could see a bigger role in Week 12. The team's lead back, D'Andre Swift (groin), is dealing with a groin injury that he picked up in his team's Week 11 loss. Swift is officially designated as "Questionable" for Sunday's upcoming game.

However, he's expressed full confidence that he'll play in this game. Johnson doesn't have much upside as the team's RB2, and it looks like it will remain that way for Week 12. He doesn't have a consistent pass-catching or goal-line role, so he should be left on fantasy benches as a handcuff. He should stay on fantasy benches in this case.

However, if Swift is a surprise inactive, Johnson becomes a solid RB3/FLEX play due to projected volume and goal-line work.

Should I Start Jahan Dotson for Fantasy Football?

No. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson has almost no upside in fantasy football. Despite the fact that the team's second-string wideout, DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is officially "Out" for Week 12, Dotson simply isn't a good receiver. He's hardly seen any work this season.

The offense will do what it did before, which is concentrate itself around its superstars. It's worth mentioning even elite WR A.J. Brown, the team's No. 1 option, and Smith have had disappointing seasons. The Eagles now have Saquon Barkley dominating offensive work, and quarterback Jalen Hurts has disappointed.

Expect plenty of Brown, Saquon, Hurts rushes, and tight end Dallas Goedert on Sunday. Dotson may have three targets if he's lucky.

Should I Start Dylan Laube for Fantasy Football?

In deep leagues where running backs are extremely scarce, some fantasy managers are finding themselves starting Las Vegas Raiders running back Dylan Laube. The rookie has been a healthy scratch most of the season, and he lost a fumble on his lone attempt all year.

He's a desperation play. With two of the team's RBs listed as "Doubtful" for Sunday's game, we may see Laube split time with RB Ameer Abdullah, who's normally third on the depth chart. They'll face a stiff Denver Broncos defense that just held the Atlanta Falcons to six points in Week 12. We don't recommend starting Laube.
