Justin Fields Injury Update
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields suffered a shoulder dislocation during Sunday's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Matt Eberflus told the media. The injury is painful and Fields will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis, though Eberflus would not rule out the possibility of the quarterback's season being over.
He has looked fantastic as of late, ranking as the QB1 while accumulating 193.54 fantasy points from Weeks 5 to 11. If Fields does have to miss time, Trevor Siemian would take over as Chicago's quarterback.
Kyler Murray Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (hamstring) has missed the past two games with a lingering ailment. When asked on Tuesday, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said it has progressed "quite a bit," but they want him to be "full throttle" before he plays. He also referenced the injuries to their offensive line, citing that as one of the reasons they decided to hold out their star signal-caller against the 49ers.
His backup, Colt McCoy, was on the injury report last week and projects to be again this week, but he's likely to play if needed. Arizona has their bye week after their game against the Chargers, which could impact how they handle Murray's health. Fantasy managers would be wise to ensure they have an alternative quarterback this week in case the 25-year-old is inactive again.
Josh Allen Injury Update
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (elbow) was limited once again during Tuesday's practice. The Bills have a quick turnaround with a matchup against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. Allen was able to practice without wearing a sleeve on his right elbow.
It sounds like the Bills are going to continue playing it safe with Allen. He should be fine heading into this contest. Fantasy managers should consider him a strong QB1 for this upcoming contest.
Matthew Stafford Injury Update
Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is not currently in concussion protocol, according to an announcement from the team that was relayed by Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. This development clarifies reports that surfaced during the Rams' game that suggested Stafford had entered concussion protocol. Rather, the veteran quarterback is simply being monitored by the team and league after exiting Sunday's game.
It will be important to monitor Stafford's status over the next few days considering he was removed from concussion protocol just last week. The Rams play against the Chiefs next Sunday, and it remains to be seen whether Stafford, John Wolford (neck), or Bryce Perkins will draw the start.
