Keenan Allen Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) is trending positive for the Week 7 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. He is still considered a game-time decision, but the team appears to be optimistic about Allen. The veteran receiver has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1.
Sadly, the Chargers don't play until the second wave of games on Sunday. That means, many fantasy managers are going to be forced to make a judgment call on Allen. This sounds like it's the closest Allen has been to playing since suffering the injury. Despite that, fantasy managers won't get a final answer until Allen gets a chance to get on the field.
Damien Harris Injury Update
New England Patriots running back Damien Harris (hamstring) and tight end Jonnu Smith (ankle) have been removed from the injury report. Both players will suit up for Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Harris practiced in full all week long, so it comes as no surprise that he'll play this week.
Although Rhamondre Stevenson has emerged as a terrific runner, Harris should still be viewed as an RB3 in fantasy football due to the anticipated backfield split and dynamic. Meanwhile, Smith was limited on Thursday before logging two full sessions. As the clear No. 2 behind Hunter Henry, Smith is an afterthought in fantasy football for the time being.
D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) is officially inactive for the Week 7 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Swift had the bye week to rest up and was limited all week in practice, but the Lions will choose to hold him out for another week. He hasn't played since Week 3, but there's a good chance he'll return to action in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins.
With the 23-year-old out yet again, Jamaal Williams should lead this backfield on Sunday, making him a plug-and-play RB2 choice for fantasy managers. Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson will be looking for scraps in a change-of-pace role behind him. Make sure to remove Swift from your starting fantasy lineups before the early games kick off.
Rashod Bateman Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) is active for the Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. The expectation was that Bateman would play, but now it's official. The second-year wideout has 11 catches, 243 yards, and two touchdowns through four games this season.
The Ravens don't have many weapons on offense, so Bateman should get a fair share of targets. He should be considered a high-end WR3 for this matchup against Cleveland.
Mark Andrews Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (knee) will suit up for the Week 7 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He was listed as questionable coming into this contest after missing a couple of practices this week. Despite that, Andrews is ready to go and is a must-start in all fantasy formats.
The expectation is that Andrews won't be limited, so fantasy managers should adjust their lineups accordingly.
Jonathan Taylor Injury Update
Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is back in action for the Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Head coach Frank Reich mentioned that Taylor is full-go and won't be limited at all in this contest. The 23-year-old should get a bulk of the carries with Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson rotated in as well.
Taylor was taken as the No. 1 overall pick in many fantasy drafts this season. He has not lived up to those expectations through the first four games that he's played in. Regardless, fantasy managers need to make sure he's in their lineups for Sunday. He'll continue to have elite RB1 upside despite the recent struggles.
