Dak Prescott Injury Update
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb), who put in another full practice on Thursday, said he is starting in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions and won't wear a brace on his surgically repaired finger. He might wear KT tap, but he won't have any limitations with his grip on the football.
The Cowboys coaching staff hasn't yet confirmed that Prescott is starting this Sunday, but all signs point to him returning for the first time since fracturing a finger on his right hand in the season opener. All of Dallas' offensive skill players will receive a fantasy boost with the return of the 29-year-old signal-caller, who will be in play as a midrange QB1 in his first game back this weekend
Jonathan Taylor Injury Update
Indianapolis Colts running backs Jonathan Taylor (ankle), Nyheim Hines (concussion) and Deon Jackson (quadriceps) all practiced in full on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Taylor and Hines both missed the Week 6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Jackson was injured on Sunday after a big performance as the lead back.
All three look to be ready to play this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. Taylor has missed the last two games due to an ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 4. He hasn't really lived up to the No. 1 overall pick in most fantasy leagues so far in 2022, but he's trending towards returning to action this Sunday and will need to be returned to all starting fantasy lineups if that's the case.
D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) was limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Swift hasn't played since Week 3, but he has a shot to return in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, as long as he doesn't suffer a setback on Friday or Saturday.
The 23-year-old could be questionable this weekend, but he is pushing to play against Dallas, where he could be limited to sharing more of the backfield pie with Jamaal Williams in his first game back. Swift has capitalized on his opportunities this year to the tune of 27 carries for 231 yards and a touchdown while also catching eight of 12 targets for 77 yards and another score in three games played. Consider him a low-end RB2 coming off injury if he plays this weekend.
Rashod Bateman Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) was limited in practice again on Thursday. Bateman missed the last two games with a foot sprain, but he appears to be trending in the right direction to potentially return in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
There's a good chance he will be questionable for Sunday's game, but if he returns, he should immediately return as quarterback Lamar Jackson's top target through the air alongside tight end Mark Andrews, who is also nursing an injury and hasn't practiced yet this week. Bateman has 11 catches on 22 targets for 243 yards and two touchdowns through four games in his second NFL season. He scored in the first two weeks of the season but hasn't found the end zone since.
Damien Harris Injury Update
New England Patriots running back Damien Harris (hamstring) was back to a full practice on Thursday, which is an indication that he's close to returning. Harris missed the Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns with his hamstring injury, but it looks like he might return as soon as the Week 7 contest against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
It's bad news for fantasy managers of Rhamondre Stevenson, who had 19 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns while catching four of five targets for 15 yards last Sunday on 86 percent of the offensive snaps. Stevenson should remain involved in a timeshare with Harris in New England's backfield if Harris returns this week, but it will certainly cap his fantasy upside.
Darren Waller Injury Update
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. It's not a good sign that Waller hasn't practiced coming out of the bye week, so fantasy managers should consider him very questionable to play in Week 7 against the Houston Texans at this point. He'll have a much better shot at playing this Sunday if he's able to practice in some fashion on Friday.
The 30-year-old played just 13 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 5 and didn't draw a target before leaving the game with his hamstring injury, and he's been a big disappointment so far in 2022 with 16 receptions on 24 targets for 175 yards and one touchdown in five games. If Waller is unable to play against Houston, Foster Moreau could be an intriguing TE2 streamer in two-TE leagues.
Keenan Allen Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. He hasn't played since Week 1 due to a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old has one more chance to log a full practice.
The Chargers could be cautious with Allen and hold him out with the team on the bye in Week 8. He is eyeing a return this Sunday, but it remains to be seen if the veteran will be active for Sunday's contest against the Seattle Seahawks. Josh Palmer (concussion) did not practice Thursday; if Allen and Palmer are ruled out, DeAndre Carter could see an uptick in targets in Week 7.
J.K. Dobbins Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) is expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery next week that will sideline him for four to six weeks, according to sources. Dobbins had his surgically repaired left knee tighten up on him in the Week 6 loss to the New York Giants, and he'll go under the knife again after tearing his ACL and missing all of the 2021 season.
It's a blow to Baltimore's backfield and any fantasy managers that were hoping for Dobbins to carry them as an RB2 this year. Kenyan Drake, who had a 100-yard rushing game and scored a TD last Sunday, now needs to be rostered in all formats, and Justice Hill is also worth a pickup, but Gus Edwards' (knee) impending return could throw a wrench into this backfield yet again in upcoming weeks
