There are no teams on a bye in Week 12, but injury concerns more than make up for the challenges they present. There are several players in the must-start category with uncertain statuses heading into Sunday, so fantasy managers will need to monitor the latest injury news. Our injury updates and reports for Week 12 as of Friday, November 25th, 2022, will give you the latest updates on key guys. As always, some players have more "real" risk to miss Week 12 than others, but things change quickly, so it's important to stay up to date.
Justin Fields, Ja'Marr Chase, Joe Mixon, Mike Williams, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and more are all in real danger of missing Week 12. We have plenty of must-starts on this week's injury list, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

Justin Fields Injury Update
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (shoulder) is officially questionable for the Week 12 matchup with the New York Jets. Head coach Matt Eberflus said the team is hoping to take the decision to play Fields up until game time on Sunday. Fields is the overall QB4 on the season after a sluggish start and has been arguably the most explosive breakout player in all of fantasy football. That said, fantasy managers will surely be hurting if he's ruled out.
The New York Jets have been a top-10 unit against fantasy quarterbacks this season, but Fields is very much in the must-start category with his rushing upside. The good news is no quarterbacks are on a bye week so it shouldn't be too difficult to find a streamer, but losing Fields' ceiling will be disappointing. If he's out, Trevor Siemian will start for Chicago. He'd only be viable in superflex or two-QB leagues.
Ja'Marr Chase Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (hip) had a good week at practice and is officially listed as questionable to play in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans. The 22-year-old is trending in the right direction to return for the first time since injuring his hip in Week 7, but fantasy managers must check back for the game-day inactives on Sunday morning before officially locking him into starting lineups this weekend.
There's also a chance that the Bengals ease Chase back into the fold, so he'll be a bit more risky than usual if he's active. But if Chase is on the field, he's pretty much a must-start in fantasy after racking up 47 catches on 74 targets for 605 yards and six touchdowns in his seven games before the injury. His return would mean fewer looks for both Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd.
Joe Mixon Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (concussion) has been officially ruled out for Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday due to his concussion that he suffered in last week's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mixon was unable to clear the league's protocol and didn't practice all week, paving the way for Samaje Perine to lead Cincy's backfield this weekend against the Titans.
Perine should've been a popular waiver-wire pickup this week because of Mixon's injury, especially after he scored three receiving touchdowns and saw 15 touches in Week 11. Rookie Chris Evans and Trayveon Williams will look to pick up the slack behind Perine this Sunday. With added touches and playing time, Perine will be in play as an RB2 in Week 12 with Mixon out.
Mike Williams Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (ankle) didn't suit up for practice on Thursday. The 28-year-old re-aggravated his ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 11. Head coach Brandon Staley mentioned that the team is taking things day-to-day with Williams.
Fantasy managers will have to wait and see if Williams practices on Friday. He'd be a low-end WR2 for the upcoming matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kadarius Toney Injury Update
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) will play against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12. Smith-Schuster missed the game last week against the Los Angeles Chargers with a concussion but appears to be ready to go.
The Rams have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers thus far, and since Kadarius Toney (hamstring) won't play and Mecole Hardman (abdomen) is on Injured Reserve, Smith-Schuster's upside is sky-high in his return. He and tight end Travis Kelce should be quarterback Patrick Mahomes' clear top targets moving forward
Gus Edwards Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards (hamstring, knee) seems to be trending in the right direction for the team's Week 12 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he'll likely be listed as questionable on the final injury report on Friday. Head coach John Harbaugh said he "hopes" Edwards will play but expects left tackle, Ronnie Stanley (ankle), to be ruled out.
If Edwards plays, he'll be an intriguing flex option in a top-12 matchup for running backs, but he has a low floor with no pass-catching upside and plenty of competition for touches with Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill. Ultimately, he's a touchdown-or-bust option in the context of the Ravens' offense.
Jerry Jeudy Injury Update
Denver Broncos wide receivers Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and KJ Hamler (hamstring) have both been ruled out for Week 12 against the Carolina Panthers, according to head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Jeudy and Hamler missed practice all week and will miss yet another game. In their absences, Courtland Sutton and Kendall Hinton will continue to be quarterback Russell Wilson's top two receivers.
Sutton caught five of his seven targets for 80 yards in the Week 11 loss to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, and he'll once again have WR2 upside in Week 12 as Wilson's go-to target. Hinton will merely be a deep-league flex option, but he has very little upside in Denver's low-scoring offense.
Leonard Fournette Injury Update
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette (hip) has been listed as doubtful to play in Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Fantasy managers will need to remove Fournette from their weekly starting lineups. With the 27-year-old likely out this weekend, rookie Rachaad White should see a heavy workload in Tampa's backfield while going up against a porous Browns run defense that has allowed the second-most points to opposing running backs this year in half-point PPR setups.
Fournette is dealing with a hip pointer that he suffered in Week 10, and it's not a good sign that he's not ready to go after the team's Week 10 bye. Even when Fournette returns, White could be Tampa's lead dog in the backfield the rest of the way.
Kyler Murray Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that quarterback Kyler Murray (hamstring) looked sharp this week in practice and is ready to go for the Week 12 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Murray returned to a full practice on Wednesday and has been trending toward returning from a two-game absence for the Cardinals. The 25-year-old will take back over for Colt McCoy to face the Chargers this weekend.
Murray will be without Rondale Moore (groin) and could also be without Greg Dortch (thumb), but he's expected to get Marquise Brown (foot) back this weekend. The Chargers defense has been more vulnerable on the ground this year, but Murray will be at least a low-end QB1 for fantasy managers in his return to action in Week 12.
