It's crunch time for players dealing with injuries, as there are no games guaranteed after this Wild Card Weekend in the NFL playoffs. Some guys on this week's injury report have been dealing with bumps and bruises all season long, but there are a few new players in this week's fantasy football injury updates as of January 13th for Wild Card Weekend.
Lamar Jackson, Mike Williams, Tua Tagovailoa, Christian McCaffrey, Jaylen Waddle Gus Edwards, and more are at risk of missing the opening round of the NFL playoffs. We have plenty of must-starts on this week's injury list, so fantasy managers should be ready to pivot should things go south.

Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley Injury Updates
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) has officially been ruled out for the Wild Card game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jackson missed each of the Ravens' final five games and despite speculation that he'd return in the playoffs, he won't suit up in the opening round. Tyler Huntley (shoulder/wrist) was a full participant in practice Friday but was listed as questionable.
It's not safe to assume Huntley will definitely play, but there is a good chance. If Huntley can't go, Anthony Brown will make his second straight start. With Jackson out, continue to downgrade the outlooks of all Ravens' running backs and pass-catchers.
Mike Williams Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (back) suffered a small non-surgical fracture in his back in the Week 18 regular season finale that is expected to keep him out for the next two to three weeks, according to sources. It means that barring a Chargers Super Bowl run, Williams' season is likely over. Head coach Brandon Staley is probably wishing he didn't play his starters so deep into a meaningless game last Sunday.
With Williams out for the foreseeable future, it makes quarterback Justin Herbert slightly less attractive in playoff leagues, while Keenan Allen should be a target hog in this offense. Joshua Palmer and DeAndre Carter will also have bigger roles and are absolutely worth a look as low-cost DFS sleeper selections.
Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater Injury Update
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. Head coach Mike McDaniel said that as of Wednesday, Tagovailoa still hasn't been cleared to resume football activities with the team after suffering his second concussion of the season on Christmas Day.
Teddy Bridgewater is also dealing with a dislocated pinkie finger on his throwing hand that he suffered in Week 17, so they will start rookie Skylar Thompson this weekend. The 24-year-old Tagovailoa played in only 13 games in his third NFL season but still had a career year thanks to the addition of All-Pro wideout Tyreek Hill. Injuries have been a problem for Tua early in his career, and it's fair to wonder if his head injuries will continue to be an issue heading into 2023.
Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of Saturday's Wild-Card game against the Seattle Seahawks. McCaffrey has been dealing with a lingering knee issue, but it doesn't sound like it's going to sideline him for this contest.
McCaffrey played well against Seattle during their most recent matchup in Week 15. He'll be an expensive, but elite DFS option for this weekend. Fantasy managers can decide if they want to take the risk, but at least they know he'll be healthy enough to suit up.
Trevor Lawrence Injury Update
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (toe) is considered questionable for Saturday's Wild-Card game against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 23-year-old has been dealing with a lingering toe issue for awhile now.
He continues to play through the issue, so fantasy managers should expect him to play unless he suffers a setback. He has been limited in practice this week, but should be fully active for Saturday's game. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on Lawrence.
Jaylen Waddle Injury Update
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle) was a full participant in Friday's practice and was removed from the final injury report for the game against the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins are outmatched in this Wild Card game, as Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) remains out.
Rookie Skylar Thompson will make his playoff debut as a 13.5 point underdog to Josh Allen and the Bills. It'll be tough sledding for Waddle, as his floor and ceiling are dramatically negated by Tagovailoa being out of the lineup.
Gus Edwards Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards has cleared concussion protocol, so he will play on Sunday night's Wild Card game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Edwards has rushed 87 times for 433 yards and three touchdowns this season in nine games played but has not caught a pass on two total targets.
The Bengals have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, so Edwards' role in a split backfield with JK Dobbins doesn't present much upside in this spot. Edwards will likely have to score multiple touchdowns to be a DFS-viable option, and it's tough to see Baltimore's offense performing well with Tyler Huntley likely under center once again.
Raheem Mostert Injury Update
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (thumb) will not play in the Wild Card game against the Buffalo Bills. Mostert suffered a broken thumb in the playoff-clinching win over the Jets, so it remains to be seen whether he could return next week should the Dolphins survive and advance. With Mostert out of the picture, Jeff Wilson Jr. should see a healthy workload.
That said, Buffalo should score with ease and force rookie Skylar Thompson into obvious passing situations. It's tough to project Wilson to have much volume or touchdown upside, so he's generally a weak DFS play in this game
