James Conner Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (hip) is officially inactive for the Week 7 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury mentioned Conner would be a game-time decision, so it sounds like the team is taking the cautious approach here.
The expectation is that Eno Benjamin will handle a bulk of the touches after taking 87% of the snaps last week. Fantasy managers should consider Benjamin a possible RB2 for this Thursday Night matchup.
Darren Waller Injury Update
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) missed his second straight practice on Thursday. It's not a good sign that Waller hasn't practiced coming out of the bye week, so fantasy managers should consider him very questionable to play in Week 7 against the Houston Texans at this point. He'll have a much better shot at playing this Sunday if he's able to practice in some fashion on Friday.
The 30-year-old played just 13 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 5 and didn't draw a target before leaving the game with his hamstring injury, and he's been a big disappointment so far in 2022 with 16 receptions on 24 targets for 175 yards and one touchdown in five games. If Waller is unable to play against Houston, Foster Moreau could be an intriguing TE2 streamer in two-TE leagues.
Damien Harris Injury Update
New England Patriots running back Damien Harris (hamstring) was back to a full practice on Thursday, which is an indication that he's close to returning. Harris missed the Week 6 win over the Cleveland Browns with his hamstring injury, but it looks like he might return as soon as the Week 7 contest against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
It's bad news for fantasy managers of Rhamondre Stevenson, who had 19 carries for 76 yards and two touchdowns while catching four of five targets for 15 yards last Sunday on 86 percent of the offensive snaps. Stevenson should remain involved in a timeshare with Harris in New England's backfield if Harris returns this week, but it will certainly cap his fantasy upside.
J.K. Dobbins Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) was unable to practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Dobbins' surgically repaired right knee tightened up on him in the Week 6 loss to the New York Giants, and he didn't play at all in the second half. With the 23-year-old not having practiced yet this week, there's a real chance that he might not be able to play this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Kenyan Drake, who was a popular waiver-wire pickup this week after rushing for 119 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries last weekend, would have RB2 upside yet again if Dobbins is unable to suit up against Cleveland. The Ravens could play it safe with Dobbins after he missed all of the 2021 season with a torn right ACL.
Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines Injury Updates
Indianapolis Colts running backs Jonathan Taylor (ankle), Nyheim Hines (concussion) and Deon Jackson (quadriceps) all practiced in full on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. Taylor and Hines both missed the Week 6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Jackson was injured on Sunday after a big performance as the lead back. All three look to be ready to play this weekend against the Tennessee Titans.
Taylor has missed the last two games due to an ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 4. He hasn't really lived up to the No. 1 overall pick in most fantasy leagues so far in 2022, but he's trending towards returning to action this Sunday and will need to be returned to all starting fantasy lineups if that's the case.
Dak Prescott Injury Update
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb), who put in another full practice on Thursday, said he is starting in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions and won't wear a brace on his surgically repaired finger. He might wear KT tap, but he won't have any limitations with his grip on the football.
The Cowboys coaching staff hasn't yet confirmed that Prescott is starting this Sunday, but all signs point to him returning for the first time since fracturing a finger on his right hand in the season opener. All of Dallas' offensive skill players will receive a fantasy boost with the return of the 29-year-old signal-caller, who will be in play as a midrange QB1 in his first game back this weekend.
