Saquon Barkley Injury Update
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is "optimistic" that he will be active for Week 6 versus the Buffalo Bills, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The star running back missed the last three games with a high-ankle sprain, and although he was listed as questionable again this week, it sounds like he is trending in the right direction.
#Giants RB Saquon Barkley, out the past three weeks with a high-ankle sprain, is optimistic about being able to play today, per me and @MikeGarafolo. The team is giving him all the time he needs, and it's not 100%. But there is a real chance he returns today vs. the #Bills.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) October 15, 2023
The one caveat with this situation is that Barkley and the Giants play on Sunday night, leaving fantasy managers with very few replacement options in case he can't suit up. If Barkley ultimately doesn't play, Matt Breida would lead the New York backfield.
Tee Higgins Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins (ribs) is expected to suit up for the Week 6 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Higgins is working his way back from a fractured rib that he suffered in Week 4.
#Bengals WR Tee Higgins (questionable, ribs) is expected to play Sunday vs. #Seahawks, per source.

The 24-year-old has been making solid progress and it appears he'll likely be available for this contest. His return would be a significant boost for this offense. Fellow wideout Tyler Boyd won't have as much streaming appeal if Higgins is able to play. Fantasy managers will want to confirm his status closer to kickoff.
Jahmyr Gibbs Injury Update
Detroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring) has officially been ruled out of Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers. The rookie has taken a back seat to David Montgomery in every game that both of them have been active for, but with Gibbs sitting out another game, Montgomery's value increases even more.
Without the necessary opportunities, Gibbs hasn't been able to fulfill his potential just yet. Until he wins over the coaching staff a little more or Montgomery can't suit up, Gibbs' ceiling will be limited. His next chance to play will be against the Ravens in Week 7.
Sam LaPorta Injury Update
Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (calf) is trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. He notes that LaPorta "is expected to work out pre-game to finalize whether he can play," but it looks promising that he will suit up. The breakout rookie is listed as questionable after a calf injury held him out of practice on Thursday. If active, he should be started in all fantasy leagues.

Amon-Ra St. Brown Injury Update
Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen) practiced in full on Thursday and Friday and has been cleared to play in Week 6 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The Lions gave St. Brown the week off in Week 5 in the win over the Carolina Panthers as a precaution due to an abdominal injury.
The 23-year-old is the Lions' top pass-catcher when he's active, so fantasy managers will want to lock him into starting lineups everywhere in Week 6. Through four games this year, he has 26 receptions on 35 targets for 331 yards and two touchdowns.
Tank Dell Injury Update
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (head) is not expected to play in Week 6 versus the New Orleans Saints, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. The rookie is listed as questionable after spending the entire week in concussion protocol. Dell has appeared in five games this season, catching 19 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns. In his absence, Houston's passing game will center around receivers Nico Collins and Robert Woods (rib).
Marquise Brown Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (illness) is expected to play in Week 6 despite being listed as questionable, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Brown missed practice on Wednesday before participating in a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. He has been quite productive so far this year, linking up with Joshua Dobbs for 25 completions, 300 yards, and three touchdowns. He ranks as a strong fantasy WR2 this week.
Khalil Herbert and Roschon Johnson Injury Update
The Chicago Bears backfield is suddenly barren, as both Khalil Herbert (ankle) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) are expected to miss the team's Week 6 divisional clash with the Minnesota Vikings.
Bears are listing RBs Khalil Herbert (ankle) and Roschon Johnson (concussion) out for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 13, 2023
In addition to Herbert and Johnson, Chicago will also be without RB Travis Homer (hamstring) on Sunday. The injuries to Chicago's top backfield options mean the door is finally open for D'Onta Foreman, who had five rushing attempts and three targets in Week 1 but has been a healthy scratch for the last four weeks. Foreman is a strong streaming option for fantasy managers in need of help this week.
Austin Ekeler Injury Update
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. He has missed each of the last three games while dealing with a lingering ankle issue. However, it appears Ekeler is back to full health coming off their Week 5 bye.
The assumption is that Ekeler will be at full speed for this Monday night matchup. That being said, fantasy managers should make sure Ekeler is back in their lineups for this game.
It’s finally the week 👀

Jeff Wilson Jr. Injury Update
Miami Dolphins running back Jeff Wilson Jr. (finger, ribs) has been downgraded to out for the Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. There was a chance that Wilson would return for this game, but the Dolphins will wait at least one more week. They don't have to rush Wilson back with Raheem Mostert playing extremely well right now. The Dolphins will keep riding with Mostert for at least one more game, while Salvon Ahmed should serve as the backup.

Dawson Knox Injury Update
Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox (wrist) is expected to be active for Sunday Night Football versus the New York Giants, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Knox had been listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity all week long. The 26-year-old has been able to co-exist with rookie Dalton Kincaid, though neither of the Buffalo tight ends have been very productive so far this year. Fantasy managers should view Knox as a low-end TE2 this week.
