Justin Jefferson Injury Update
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (hamstring) will not be activated off of injured reserve today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. That means the All-Pro will not be available to play against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football.
Vikings’ WR Justin Jefferson is not being activated off the injured reserve list today, per sources, and he will be ineligible to play Sunday night vs. the Broncos. His next chance to play will come next Monday night vs. the Chicago Bears, but keep in mind, the Vikings have a bye… pic.twitter.com/R4WFlsgiSt

Minnesota now has a dilemma on its hands. They could activate Jefferson prior to their Week 12 matchup against the Chicago Bears, but they also have a bye week after that game. They could instead choose to give the wideout an extra week to rest his hamstring and make sure he's 100 percent. Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson will be the primary pass catchers for Joshua Dobbs once again in Week 11.
Alexander Mattison Injury Update
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison (head) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. The 25-year-old was ruled out in the Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints due to a concussion, allowing Ty Chandler to amass 15 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown. Although Chandler still might get some touches, his involvement won't be near the level it would have been had Mattison been ruled out.
Despite spending the week in concussion protocol and being listed as questionable for Sunday night, Vikings’ RB Alexander Mattison is “good to go” and expected to play vs. the Broncos, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 19, 2023
As a result, fantasy managers should pump the brakes before considering Chandler for any lineup. At the same time, Mattison hasn't played at the level most had envisioned heading into the 2023-24 campaign. However, he should get a bulk of the carries out of the backfield for the favorable matchup with Denver, so he at least deserves flex consideration.
De'Von Achane Injury Updates
Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane (knee) has been activated from the injured reserve on Saturday. The rookie back looked nearly unstoppable before going down with a knee injury in Week 5. Before that, Achane had 460 yards on 38 carries and scored seven total touchdowns in the span of basically three games.
Dolphins activated rookie RB De’Von Achane off injured reserve today and he will play Sunday vs. the Raiders. Despite not playing the past four weeks due to his knee injury, Achane still is tied for the league lead in 20+ yard carries with six and he still leads the league in 40+… pic.twitter.com/yta7vajooy
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 18, 2023
At the moment, it's unclear how much Achane is going to be involved during his first game back. The Dolphins still have Raheem Mostert, who is enjoying a strong 2023 campaign. Despite that, Achane should still find himself with a role in this offense. He should be treated as a possible RB2 for this upcoming matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Keenan Allen Injury Update
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen (shoulder) will likely play on Sunday versus the Packers. The 31-year-old was recently diagnosed with an AC joint sprain, an injury he suffered in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions.
Chargers’ WR Keenan Allen, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a shoulder injury, is expected to play vs. the Packers, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 19, 2023
However, the ailment didn't stop him from collecting 11 of his 14 targets for 175 yards and two touchdowns. Nonetheless, Allen is always a must-start fantasy option in season-long setups. Yet, managers could see a less productive version of the wideout in Week 11, meaning DFS managers may want to consider other options.
Tyler Lockett Injury Update
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett (hamstring) is anticipated to suit up for Sunday's NFC West meeting with the Los Angeles Rams. The 31-year-old missed practice during the week because of a hamstring issue. However, it appears he'll be good to go.
Seahawks’ WR Tyler Lockett, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a hamstring injury, is expected to play vs. the Rams, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 19, 2023
Lockett has appeared in nine games this season, catching 46 of his 67 targets for 494 yards and four touchdowns. As a result, he needs to be included in every fantasy lineup imaginable, even though there's a chance the injury could limit his production. At the same time, Lockett's presumed availability means Jaxon Smith-Njigba isn't the flex option he was to begin the week.
Michael Wilson Injury Update
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson (shoulder) isn't expected to suit up on Sunday against the Texans. The wideout has dealt with a shoulder injury of late, keeping him out of the lineup for the Week 9 showdown with the Cleveland Browns. However, he returned in Week 10 versus the Atlanta Falcons, finishing with three catches for 34 yards.
Cardinals’ WR Michael Wilson, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a shoulder injury, suffered a setback during the week and is not expected to play vs. the Texans, per source.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 19, 2023
Nevertheless, while Wilson hasn't been a consistent fantasy option all year, he's still one of the Cardinals' top receivers. Assuming he is officially ruled out, Rondale Moore and Trey McBride could see more targets behind Marquise Brown.
Rico Dowdle Injury Update
Dallas Cowboys running back Rico Dowdle (ankle) has been downgraded to questionable ahead of Sunday's Week 11 matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Dowdle opened the week on the injury report with an ankle issue but was able to practice in full on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Receiving a questionable tag one day before kickoff is typically not a good sign. Fantasy managers who just added Dowdle and were hoping to start him this week will need to wait until Sunday morning to find out if he will be active or not. Malik Davis and Deuce Vaughn would both be in line for touches behind Tony Pollard if Dowdle ends up being inactive.
Khalil Herbert Injury Update
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (ankle) has been activated off Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions. This was an expected move, as the Bears designated Herbert to return from IR last week. The third-year running back has been out since Week 6 with a high-ankle sprain but was running well before sustaining the injury.

It's unclear how Chicago will divvy up their backfield snaps with Herbert, D'Onta Foreman (ankle), and rookie Roschon Johnson all vying for touches. Foreman is questionable with an ankle injury, however, so that could lead to an uptick for Herbert and Johnson if he doesn't play. For now, this running back committee is up in the air.
Dameon Pierce Injury Update
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (ankle) returned to practice on Friday but has been officially ruled out in Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals, according to league sources. He's trending towards being back in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Pierce's frustrating sophomore season continues, as he will now miss his third straight game with an ankle injury. The 23-year-old was looking extremely impressive as a rookie before a season-ending injury, but he's averaging just 3.0 yards per carry and has one touchdown in seven games in 2023.
Despite returning to practice today, #Texans RB Dameon Pierce has been ruled out for Sunday.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 17, 2023
Devin Singletary has become Houston's lead back with Pierce hurt and has seen 43 carries in the last two games, including a 30-carry, 150-yard, one-touchdown outburst in last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Singletary will once again have RB2 upside this weekend against Arizona.
Pat Freiermuth Injury Update
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) has been activated from the injured reserve ahead of the Week 11 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. This is a welcoming sight as Freiermuth has been sidelined since Week 4 due to a hamstring injury. He's currently listed as questionable for this weekend's game but is expected to suit up.
Steelers have activated Pat Freiermuth from IR and signed Mykal Walker to the active roster. Trenton Thompson and Tariq Carpenter have also been elevated from the practice squad for the Browns game.
Amid all that, safety Keanu Neal is going on IR, will miss at least 4 games.
— Brian Batko (@BrianBatko) November 18, 2023
This season, Freiermuth has eight receptions for 53 yards in four games. It's hard to imagine him being a viable fantasy option right now. At the moment, fantasy managers should consider Freiermuth a low-end TE2 for this upcoming Week 11 contest.
