Week 7 is here, and with the Rams, Eagles, Bills, and Vikings on a bye, the tight end position is scarce. Injuries will make start-or-sit decisions even tougher. These are the latest injury updates as of Friday, October 21 for tight ends Darren Waller, Mark Andrews, Hayden Hurst, Dalton Schultz, Logan Thomas, and Cameron Brate.
Being up-to-date on NFL injury news can give you an edge over your league mates in fantasy football. Tight ends are always tricky to navigate in fantasy football, so keeping up with the latest injury news is vital for staying competitive.

Darren Waller Injury Update
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) missed his third straight practice on Friday. It's not a good sign that Waller hasn't practiced coming out of the bye week, so fantasy managers should consider him very questionable to play in Week 7 against the Houston Texans at this point.
The 30-year-old played just 13 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 5 and didn't draw a target before leaving the game with his hamstring injury, and he's been a big disappointment so far in 2022 with 16 receptions on 24 targets for 175 yards and one touchdown in five games. If Waller is unable to play against Houston, Foster Moreau could be an intriguing TE2 streamer in two-TE leagues.
Mark Andrews Injury Update
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews (knee) practiced Friday after taking Wednesday and Thursday off, so he's ready to go for Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns. Andrews and Travis Kelce have been in a tier of their own this season, so fantasy managers can breathe easy knowing he can stay in lineups.
The Browns are one of the toughest defenses against fantasy tight ends, but as always, Andrews can explode in any matchup as his team's No. 1 target. Andrews could be listed as questionable on the final injury report, but all signs point to him suiting up.
Hayden Hurst Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) was not listed on the final injury report for the matchup with the Falcons, so he's good to go for Week 7. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to tight ends through six weeks, so Hurst is a top-tier streaming option in this spot.
He has a ton of target competition with receivers Tyler Boyd, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, but he's been a top-12 tight end so far this season. Fantasy managers needing a tight end should fire him up with confidence against his former team.
Dalton Schultz Injury Update
Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz (knee) practiced in full this week and is expected to play against the Detroit Lions. The 26-year-old has been dealing with a PCL issue in his knee, recently causing him to miss the Sunday Night Football clash with the Eagles, but he's ready to go.
Schultz has struggled this season, catching only nine passes for 80 yards. While there's a chance he could turn things around in Week 7 with Dak Prescott back, he still has plenty of risk.
Logan Thomas Injury Update
Washington Commanders tight end Logan Thomas (calf) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Green Bay Packers. Meanwhile, tight end John Bates (hamstring) is questionable to play, so Washington could be down to rookies Cole Turner and Armani Rogers at the position on Sunday. Thomas will be missing his second straight contest with his calf injury.
With rookie Jahan Dotson (hamstring) in danger of missing another game, Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel could be peppered with targets by quarterback Taylor Heinicke in Week 7.
Cameron Brate Injury Update
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate (neck) has been ruled out for Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. Brate suffered a scary neck injury in the Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers and will miss at least one game.
Rookie fourth-round tight end Cade Otton should be the team's top pass-catching tight end, giving him intriguing fantasy upside as a TE2 streamer this weekend against a bad Panthers team.
