Lamar Jackson Injury Update
Lamar Jackson made an appearance on the injury report this week due to an apparent hip injury. With the Baltimore Ravens preparing to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Jackson was removed from the team's injury report and is set to start in Week 12.
There never seemed to be any concern that Jackson's hip injury was going to prevent him from playing on Sunday after missing practice on Wednesday. The star quarterback practiced in full on Thursday and Friday to avoid receiving an injury designation for the game.
Even though Jackson has struggled in recent weeks to produce QB1 outcomes, he's still a must-start in all formats. Jackson is hoping to have Gus Edwards, Devin Duvernay, Demarcus Robinson, and Isaiah Likely available in Week 12 versus the Jaguars.
Kyler Murray Injury Update
Kyler Murray has been sidelined for the last two weeks due to a hamstring ailment, but it appears he's ready to return for the Arizona Cardinals. With the Cardinals set to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Murray is officially off of the injury report and is expected to rejoin the starting offense.
Considering that Murray is the team's franchise quarterback and the fact he's at his best when he's able to create with his legs, the Cardinals were cautious with his hamstring injury. After getting two weeks to recover, Murray shouldn't have any limitations against the Chargers.
While it's been a disappointing season for Arizona, Murray is expected to have Marquise Brown back in Week 12, though, he could see limited snaps. This will be the first time the Cardinals have had DeAndre Hopkins and Brown on the field at the same time.
Justin Fields Injury Update
After another productive outing in Week 11 versus the Atlanta Falcons, Justin Field came away with a shoulder injury in the loss. With Fields revealing that he has a separated non-throwing shoulder with partially torn ligaments, the Chicago Bears are listing him as questionable for Sunday's contest against the New York Jets.
The Bears should certainly consider erring on the side of caution with Fields as there is no reason to force him to play if there's a chance of worsening his injury. It appears that he's a true game-time decision and there's a legitimate chance that we see Trevor Siemian start for Chicago.
Even if Fields plays, everyone should temper expectations for him as he'll likely elect to run less with an injured shoulder. If you're someone that has Fields on your roster, make sure you have a backup plan in place with the second-year quarterback's status being uncertain.
Matthew Stafford Injury Update
Matthew Stafford cleared the NFL's concussion protocol after missing Week 10 with a head injury and he started in Week 11 versus the New Orleans Saints. But after taking a hit by multiple defenders, Stafford suffered a neck injury and he has reentered the protocol, prompting the Los Angeles Rams to rule him out for this week's showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs.
With Stafford entering the protocol twice in the last three weeks, the Rams are taking a cautious approach, especially with the team not performing well thus far. Sean McVay iterated that he hasn't ruled out shutting Stafford down for the season, which could happen soon if the Rams continue to lose games.
In the absence of Stafford, it remains to be seen whether it'll be John Wolford or Bryce Perkins starting at quarterback on Sunday. Perkins has gotten all of the first-team reps this week as Wolford is also limited with a neck injury, so everyone should lower expectations for the skill players on the Rams in Week 12.
