Christian McCaffrey Injury Update
McCaffrey (calf, Achilles) was a late scratch before Monday's game against the Jets. On Tuesday, head coach Kyle Shanahan explained that McCaffrey has been dealing with tendonitis, which flared up pregame. He's day-to-day heading into Week 2. If he suits up against the Vikings, he'll be a high-end fantasy RB1. Otherwise, Jordan Mason will start while ranking as a low-end RB1.

Shanahan said if it had been a playoff game he thinks CMC would have played.

De'Von Achane Injury Update
Achane (ankle) was listed as a non-participant on both Monday and Tuesday. Even though Monday's report was an estimate and Tuesday's practice was merely a walk-through, this is still concerning. With both Achane and Raheem Mostert (chest) banged up on a short week, we could see more opportunities coming for Jeff Wilson Jr. and Jaylen Wright.

Kenneth Walker III Injury Update
Walker (abdomen) got injured during Sunday's win over the Broncos. Nevertheless, he was incredibly productive when on the field, rushing for 103 yards and a touchdown. He'd rank as a high-end RB2 with RB1 upside if active for next weekend's game against the Patriots on the road.

Raheem Mostert Injury Update
Mostert (chest) was listed as a non-participant on both Monday and Tuesday. Even though Monday's report was an estimate and Tuesday's practice was merely a walk-through, this is still concerning. With both Mostert and De'Von Achane (ankle) banged up on a short week, we could see more opportunities coming for Jeff Wilson Jr. and Jaylen Wright.

Ty Johnson Injury Update
Johnson (knee) was limited during Monday's walk-through and Tuesday's practice. The 26-year-old veteran rushed for just two yards on seven carries in the season opener, so his availability doesn't have major fantasy implications. If he can't suit up on Thursday, though, we'd see more opportunities for Ray Davis and perhaps a practice-squad elevation like Frank Gore Jr.
