Josh Jacobs Injury Update
Jacobs (foot) upgraded to a full participant in practice on Friday. He does not carry an injury designation into Week 8 versus the Saints, meaning that, barring a setback, he will play. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a fantastic season and is the RB5 so far after amassing 633 rushing yards, 141 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. Pencil him into your lineups as an RB1 versus New Orleans this week.
D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Swift (shoulder, ankle) practiced in full all week long. Now, he has been removed from the injury report and will play against the Dolphins on Sunday. Considering Swift's tremendous availability throughout all three days of practice, it looks like he should have a full workload in Week 8. Although Jamaal Williams is always a candidate to steal touches, Swift possesses incredible talent and should be viewed as an RB1 in his return.
Ezekiel Elliott Injury Update
Elliott (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Bears after missing all three practices this past week. With the Cowboys one game away from their bye, it would be a complete shocker to see Elliott reverse course and play on Sunday. Tony Pollard will step into the starting role; he ranks as a mid-range RB2 this week.
James Conner Injury Update
Conner (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Vikings. After being limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, he was met with an apparent setback and did not participate in Friday's practice. The 27-year-old will miss his third consecutive game, allowing Eno Benjamin to handle starting duties. Darrel Williams (knee) also figured to have a role if active.
Chuba Hubbard Injury Update
Hubbard (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons. This comes as no surprise after he missed all three days of practice this past week. The 23-year-old totaled 63 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, and one touchdown last week. His absence means that D'Onta Foreman will see an even larger workload as Carolina's clear-cut starter, vaulting him into the RB2 tier in fantasy football. Raheem Blackshear figures to get involved on passing downs.
Raheem Mostert Injury Update
Mostert (knee) logged limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday but has still been cleared to play against the Detroit Lions in Week 8. The veteran back has looked great lately, totaling 310 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, and two touchdowns over the course of his last four games. He ranks as a mid-to-low RB2 against a suspect Lions defensive front this week.
Darrell Henderson Injury Update
Henderson (illness) has steadily progressed since missing practice on Wednesday. He was a full participant on Friday and has been cleared to play against the 49ers in Week 8. He'll continue to operate as the Rams' lead back while ranking as a fringe RB2 in fantasy football. Malcolm Brown and Ronnie Rivers will fill a depth role for Los Angeles.
Cam Akers Injury Update
Akers (personal) missed all three days of practice and has been ruled out for Week 8 against the 49ers. With the trade deadline coming up, it continues to look like Akers has played his final snap in a Rams uniform. Henderson is a fringe top-24 back in fantasy this week, but his value could decline when Kyren Williams (ankle) returns from IR. Don't rule out Los Angeles trading for a running back, either.
Kyren Williams Injury Update
Williams (ankle) is not expected to be activated from injured reserve before Sunday's game against the 49ers. The Rams opened the rookie's 21-day practice window this past week, but it looks like he is not quite ready to return to the field. With Williams and Akers (personal) sidelined, Henderson will serve as Los Angeles' lead back this week.
Darrel Williams Injury Update
Williams (knee) remained limited in practice all week long and is now listed as questionable for Week 8 against the Vikings. He is expected to be a game-time decision. Williams has 94 rushing yards and one touchdown through four games this season. If active, he will likely serve as the backup to Eno Benjamin since Conner (ribs) is sidelined. He can be left on fantasy waivers.
Caleb Huntley Injury Update
Huntley missed Thursday's practice with an illness, but he was a full participant on Friday and has been cleared to play against the Panthers in Week 8. The 24-year-old has consistently operated behind Tyler Allgeier, averaging 10 carries and 43 yards per game over the last four weeks. Even if he is on track to break double-digit touches, his lack of involvement around the goal line and on passing downs drops him to the RB5 tier in fantasy football.
Travis Homer Injury Update
The Seahawks plan to activate Homer (ribs) from injured reserve prior to Sunday's game against the Giants. The 24-year-old hasn't played since Week 3. He registered 18 rushing yards and 33 receiving yards through three games. Expect Homer to compete with DeeJay Dallas for the backup role behind Kenneth Walker III.
Jonathan Williams Injury Update
Williams (knee), who was a limited participant during practice on Wednesday and Thursday, logged a full session on Friday. As a result, he has been removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts. Still, his role as the Commanders' No. 4 running back could make him a healthy scratch this week.
