McCaffrey (calf, Achilles) has already been ruled out for Week 2 as he continues to deal with tendinitis. In addition to missing the first two games of the year, McCaffrey could end up being placed on injured reserve. Jordan Mason will step up once again as the Niners' lead back.

Kenneth Walker III Injury Update
UPDATE: Walker has officially been ruled OUT for Week 2
Walker (oblique) is officially listed as doubtful after missing three consecutive practices. Barring a medical miracle, he'll be inactive versus the Patriots this week. Look for Zach Charbonnet to start in his absence, giving him low-end RB2 appeal.

Antonio Gibson Injury Update
Gibson (hip) was limited in practice on Friday but does not carry an injury designation into Week 2 versus the Seahawks. Barring an unexpected development, he'll suit up for the Patriots' home opener. However, as long as he remains behind Rhamondre Stevenson, he can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Dameon Pierce Injury Update
Pierce (hamstring) is officially questionable to play in Week 2 against the Bears. He was limited on Thursday but did not practice at all on Friday. It appears he's trending toward being a true game-time decision. At the very least, he'll test his injury pregame to determine whether he can play. Even if active, he's off the radar in most fantasy leagues.
