Isiah Pacheco Injury Update
Pacheco (shoulder) is expected to return in Week 16, head coach Andy Reid told the media. If confirmed, the second-year running back will play after missing just two games. Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon, both of whom looked solid in Pacheco's absence, will return to their depth roles and can't be trusted in fantasy football lineups going forward.
Zack Moss Injury Update
Moss (shoulder) is pushing to play against the Falcons in Week 16. He drew the start last Saturday but exited during the first half and was unable to return. Even if active, Moss might fall off the fantasy radar should Jonathan Taylor (thumb) return from his multi-game absence. Depending on Taylor's availability, Moss ranks anywhere from an RB2 to an RB5 in fantasy football this week.
Alexander Mattison Injury Update
Mattison (ankle) missed Week 15 and was replaced by Ty Chandler, who exploded for 159 scrimmage yards and one touchdown. He was significantly more productive and efficient than Mattison has been when healthy, suggesting the playoff-hopeful Vikings could pivot to Chandler as their lead running back in Week 16. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to how this backfield dynamic unfolds over the next few days.
Jonathan Taylor Injury Update
Tyalor (thumb) could return from his two-game absence in Week 16 versus the Falcons. In such a scenario, he would rank as a mid-to-low fantasy RB1. In a sense, this is essentially perfect timing for the Colts given that Moss' status is up in the air. Having one of Taylor or Moss available would give Indianapolis a firm, versatile leader in its backfield, allowing Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson to round out the depth chart.
Keaton Mitchell Injury Update
Mitchell (knee) tore his ACL on Sunday night. He was quickly placed on injured reserve, effectively ending his season. The rookie will have to wait until mid-2024 before bouncing back with incredible playmaking skills. He's an appealing target in dynasty leagues and may come at a discount given his injury concern.
Kendre Miller Injury Update
Miller (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity on Tuesday. He finally saw his status improve after being absent from practices since the first week of November. The rookie should earn snaps within the offense but lacks immediate fantasy appeal in redraft leagues.
Ronnie Rivers Injury Update
Rivers (knee) was designated to return from injured reserve. His absence has created some shifts within the backfield, starting with the effective running of Kyren Williams and Royce Freeman. Therefore, even if Rivers is activated, he'll likely be the third running back, remaining off the fantasy radar.
Chris Brooks Injury Update
Brooks (leg) has been activated from injured reserve. While he is eligible to play in Week 16, the Dolphins could make him a healthy scratch due to their impressive depth at the position. Brooks remains off the radar in most fantasy leagues.
