Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Top College Fantasy Football Players Week 11 (2023)

Jayden Daniels - Fantasy Football Rankings, College FB, QB, NFL Draft Sleepers

We had another fun weekend of college football. USC lost (again). Alabama is in the SEC Championship Game (again). Penn State lost to another top-10 team. We did have a couple of firsts though. Sam Houston finally got their first win as a FBS program. UCF and Cincinnati both tallied their first Big 12(14) wins. Which players stood out individually?

We will help you get acclimated with these college players earlier than many of your fantasy football league mates. We here at RotoBaller are all about giving you an advantage.

I will highlight one quarterback, one running back, one wide receiver, and one tight end every week of the college season who put up some really big numbers. I'll let you know what it means for your dynasty leagues. Do these guys have NFL futures? You'll find out!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2024:

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Quarterbacks

Jayden Daniels, LSU (17-26, 372 yards, 3 TD; 12 carries, 234 yards, 2 TD) vs. Florida

234 rushing yards is a really good day for a running back. Add in 372 passing yards on top of that and you have a game for the ages. The Arizona State transfer struggled a bit early last season, but there's a reason the hype with Daniels reached a fever pitch before the season. Every bit of it is earned. If the Heisman were more than an ESPN-driven popularity contest, it would already be a foregone conclusion who is winning the award.

You wouldn't expect a 6'4", 210-pound guy to run like Daniels does. That's what is going to make him special at the next level. His deep arm has been NFL-ready for at least a year now. The rushing prowess is going to draw comparisons to Lamar Jackson, but I think he's a little more like Jalen Hurts.

If he's anywhere close to either of those guys, you should be happy to have him on your dynasty team. This is a loaded quarterback class, but Daniels is my QB1. Not only does he have the talent, but he's got his head on right. Teammates and coaches can't stop raving about Daniels. Not all of the top prospects are universally loved.

Honorable mention: John Paddock, Illinois; Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma; Jordan McCloud, James Madison

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Running Backs

RJ Harvey, Central Florida (24 carries, 206 yards, 3 TD) vs. Oklahoma State

This was Harvey's fifth straight game over the 100-yard mark. He spent much of his first couple of years in Orlando as a change-of-pace back. This year he finally has the job to himself and he is climbing up draft boards. Scouts are taking notice.

Harvey is a little undersized at 5'8" and 195 pounds. The height isn't much of a detraction at running back. However, he'll need to gain some weight to consistently withstand NFL hits. Harvey has blazing speed and good hands, so the NFL will have room for him. Harvey will mostly be used as a third-down back because he's not a great blocker. That said, in recent years plenty of third-down backs are fantasy-relevant.

Honorable mention: Kairee Robinson, San Jose State; Ta'ron Keith, Bowling Green; Cody Schrader, Missouri

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Wide Receivers

Isaiah Williams, Illinois (9 receptions, 200 yards, 2 TD) vs. Indiana

Williams first started off at Illinois as a quarterback, but Illinois realized that his speed and hands could be better utilized elsewhere. Williams' ability to digest the playbook has been a huge asset at Illinois and will help him immensely in the pros.

Williams is a bit undersized (5'10", 185 pounds) to play on the outside and a bit big to play as a slot receiver. He has the hands to succeed in the NFL and he has a great football mind. Williams is great at recognizing plays and coverages and makes adjustments well. Due to this, I think he'll get a chance in the league, though it remains to be seen just how he will be best used.

Honorable mention: Reggie Brown, James Madison; Kenneth Womack, Western Michigan; Drake Stoops, Oklahoma

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Tight Ends

Dan Villari, Syracuse (17 carries, 154 yards, TD) vs. Pittsburgh

Villari was one of three players for the Orange that topped 100 rushing yards on Pitt. Syracuse used the 6'4", 235-pound Villari as a battering ram and it worked very well. Villari is a little small for a tight end, but he has proven to be a solid receiver this year. His performance out of the backfield shows what kind of athlete he is. You don't see a lot of backs his size in the NFL anymore, but all it takes is one to make an impact before everyone starts to copy the blueprint.

Honorable mention: Drake Dabney, Baylor; Colin Weber, Charlotte
