We had another fun weekend of college football. We had some performances that you had to see to believe. Oregon made fools out of Colorado. The Oklahoma defense put on another dominant performance. We finally had some huge games from skill players this week. Let's take a look!
We are going to help you get acclimated with these college players earlier than many of your fantasy football league mates. We here at RotoBaller are all about giving you an advantage.
I will highlight one quarterback, one running back, one wide receiver, and one tight end every week of the college season that put up some really big numbers. I'll let you know what it means for your dynasty leagues. Do these guys have NFL futures? You'll find out!

Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Quarterbacks
Byrum Brown, South Florida (22-29, 435 yards, 2 TD; 14 carries, 82 yards, TD) vs. Rice
You're going to have to wait a bit for this guy to get to the NFL. He turns 19 tomorrow! Brown has done everything for the Bulls this year. He's leading the AAC in rushing, all while throwing for 885 yards.
At 6'3" and 209 pounds, Brown is sturdy enough to take a hit and elusive enough to gain yards on the ground. He reminds me a lot of Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson. Even though Jackson was electric at 19, he still made more mistakes than Brown. I'm not saying that Brown will still be Jackson by the time he reaches the NFL, but that's his ceiling...and that's a hell of a ceiling.
Honorable mention: Cameron Ward, Washington State; Jayden Daniels, LSU; Jack Plummer, Louisville
Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Running Backs
DJ Giddens, Kansas State (30 carries, 207 yards, 4 TD; 8 receptions, 86 yards) vs. Central Florida
It wasn't supposed to be like this. Giddens was supposed to back up Florida State transfer Treshaun Ward. Ward has been hurt on and off all year, but he's not getting the job back anytime soon. Giddens is explosive and the offense can run through him like it did with Deuce Vaughn last year.
Giddens still has one year of college left, but he will make an impact for some NFL team. At 6' 1", 212 pounds, he's big enough to take a hit and elusive enough to not take the big hit. He has great hands, which will take him far in the league. He's still learning as a blocker, but he has already improved in the first month.
Honorable mention: Peny Boone, Toledo; Ashton Jeanty, Boise State; Ismail Mahdi, Texas State
Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Wide Receivers
Naeim Simmons, South Florida (8 receptions, 272 yards, TD) vs. Rice
With Byrum Brown putting on a show, he needed a sidekick. Simmons stepped up in a big way. The junior was South Florida's leading receiver last year on a team that had Xavier Weaver and Jimmy Horn on it. With those two now in Colorado, Simmons is the BMOC in Tampa...aside from Brown.
At 5' 10" and 182 pounds, Simmons might not be able to play on the outside in the NFL anymore. Most corners are that size or larger now and the teams covet bigger receivers. That being said, we are in an era where slot receivers get more work than ever. Simmons has the speed and the hands to be a successful slot receiver at the next level.
Honorable mention: Lideatrick Griffin, Mississippi State; Bryce Kirtz, Northwestern; Luther Burden, Missouri; Kyle Williams, Washington State
Fantasy Football Dynasty Watch: Tight Ends
Brock Bowers, Georgia (9 receptions, 121 yards, 2 TD) vs. UAB
Bowers is no secret anymore. He started making noise at the end of last season for the Bulldogs. Bowers has excellent hands and is a great blocker. He already has the complete package. Bowers is a guy that can start in the NFL for a decade or more.
Honorable mention: Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas
