9-Category Leagues Waiver Wire

Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:

Marvin Bagley III, PF/C - Sacramento Kings

59% rostered - Just in case you hadn't noticed, Marvin Bagley III is back! Playing for the first time since a finger fracture in March, Bagley scored 11 points against the Lakers, then followed that up by playing 34 minutes in a win over the Mavericks, scoring 23 points and adding nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Looks like Sacramento is going to be giving the ball to Bagley a lot down the stretch. He should be on your fantasy roster.

Keldon Johnson, SF/PF - San Antonio Spurs

47% rostered - Six games in a row scoring in double figures for Johnson, who also saw an uptick in assists against Philly. Don't expect the assists to continue, but he's giving you points, rebounds, and steals right now, and most nights he'll be a lot more efficient than the 38.9 percent shooting he had against the Sixers. He had shot 62 percent or better in each of the previous three games.

Saddiq Bey, SF - Detroit Pistons

46% rostered - Bey is putting on some strong showings right now. Against Charlotte he saw 40 minutes of action, finishing with 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks, and five threes. He's been heating up from deep over the past three games and is just producing some incredibly well-rounded stat lines.

Reggie Bullock, SG/SF - New York Knicks

37% rostered - I don't think any player better defines that liminal space between "players who should be rostered" and "players who don't need to be rostered" better than Reggie Bullock, who appears in this week's waiver wire column after previously being here at least a few times.

Bullock is a consistent player. That consistency will give you 11-17 points most nights with three rebounds, two assists, three threes, and the occasional steal. There's nothing super exciting about that and at points in the season when you're chasing upside, there's no real point to playing Bullock over someone with a better ceiling. But you need consistency in the fantasy finals, right? And Bullock offers that consistency.

Lonnie Walker IV, SG/SF - San Antonio Spurs

19% rostered - A pair of 20-plus point games have boosted Walker's value down the stretch, and with Derrick White (ankle) unlikely to play the rest of the regular season, Walker's going to see heavy minutes to close out 2021. He doesn't offer much outside of points and threes right now, but sometimes getting a whole bunch of those two things can be the thing that puts your fantasy team over the top.

Frank Jackson, PG - Detroit Pistons

11% rostered - Will Frank Jackson be the last Pistons player we talk about this year? Maybe! He's posted three games in a row with at least 18 points, including scoring team-high 25 against Charlotte in 34 minutes of action. He sank six threes in that game. The assists aren't there, but if you need a cheap source of points at this stage, Jackson's a solid option.

Willy Hernangomez, C - New Orleans Pelicans

9% rostered - Two double-doubles in a row now for Hernangomez, who has been getting some consistent play in this frontcourt over the past four games with Steven Adams sidelined by a toe injury. One of the best sources of rebounds on the wire right now, Hernangomez is a valuable addition until Adams returns, at which point you'll probably want to drop him.

Moritz Wagner, PF/C - Orlando Magic

4% rostered - Just recently signed by the Magic, Wagner is already starting at the four, and against Memphis he played 34 minutes, finishing with 24 points and five rebounds while draining four threes. In a deep league, Wagner has gone from someone you wouldn't want even sniffing your bench to someone you almost have to add, at least for the short term until Chuma Okeke returns from a sprained ankle. Bet you didn't think we'd be talking about Wagner at this point in the season!
