Fantasy Basketball - Dynasty Rundown for Week 8

Welcome to RotoBaller's weekly dynasty league rundown! Dynasty leagues are becoming more and more popular, and we're here to keep you ahead of the game.

Each week, we'll touch on topics and players that may not necessarily be relevant in single-year formats, but they can make a splash in keeper leagues.

With that being said, let's look at the dynasty rundown for Week 8.

Guards

Kevin Huerter, Atlanta Hawks

The second-year man was thrust into the starting lineup Sunday and went 3-for-6 from deep to post nine points, six assists, two boards and two assists in 25 minutes. It was his second game back after missing nearly a month with a shoulder injury. He was playing well before the injury and can help in threes and a few boards and dimes. He's still floating under the radar in a lot of leagues and is worth the speculative pickup.

Ben McLemore, Houston Rockets

McLemore is playing the best ball of his career at the ripe age of 26. He has taken that complementary role that guard Eric Gordon (knee) had before he went down to injury. McLemore is averaging 20.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game over the last five games. One of his keys is he has shot 58 three-balls during the stretch, and he hit on 44.8 percent of them, which is well above his 35.3 career average. This run might not be sustainable, but he'll have ample opportunities in this offense to make it stick. Scoop him up if it's not too late.

Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs

The 23-year-old logged a season-high 32 minutes Friday night and had 14 points with seven boards, three assists and three steals. Afterwards, coach Gregg Popovich said Murray's minutes restriction was lifted, and with the Spurs 9-14, Murray should continue to see this floor rate. Murray is averaging career highs with 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. His three-point shooting has spiraled out of control, though, to a career-low 19.6 percent. There's a lot to like about Murray, and his stock should only continue to rise.

Forwards

Troy Brown Jr., Washington Wizards

Brown is a sporadic tease of sorts because his offensive game isn't polished enough to consistently drop double figures, but he contributes in so many categories. Sunday was another teaser with 22 points, five boards, four assists, two threes and two steals in 35 minutes. Brown is on a bad team that should allot him every opportunity he can handle to flourish. If he can find consistency in his shot, he could really be a dynasty gem.

Doug McDermott, Indiana Pacers

The sharpshooting McDermott has scored in double figures in four straight games with 14.3 points and three triples per game. He brings an element to the Pacers that they really lack on the perimeter, and he should have a window to continue his run. He's not the sexiest dynasty chip, but he does provide an immediate impact from three-point land.

Centers

Damian Jones, Atlanta Hawks

The 30th pick in 2016 has seen more run the last three games and averaged 12.7 points, eight boards and 1.3 blocks per game. He and center Alex Len have been splitting up the center minutes, and both are playing extremely well. Jones will have to hold him off in order to hold the short-term value he was right now. He's worth stashing at the end of your bench to see if he can do so.
