With most H2H leagues in the thick of playoff races, streaming pitchers is a critical part of your strategy at this point in the season. We'll run through a list of streaming options for today that could help your team.
2013 Fantasy Baseball End of Season Streaming Options - 9/18
Start These Guys Tonight:
- Danny Salazar - With 9 K in 3.2 IP last start, Salazar has filthy stuff. He's been nasty for a while and gets mediocre KC tonight who he should dominate.
- Chris Archer - Shaky ERA over past 3 starts, but the sparkling 13:2 K:BB speaks volumes. Rays are great at home and vs. LHP (they get Holland), so Archer should have a very good chance at the W tonight, plus Texas has been terrible recently.
- Brandon McCarthy - If you're chasing Ws, a start vs. Kershaw is not what you want. But McCarthy put up a nice 10:1 K:BB with a 2.74 ERA over his last 23 IP. If you need ratio help (ERA and WHIP), this is a decent start.
- Aaron Harang - Now throwing in the spacious confines of Citi Field, Aaron Harang won't be victimized as much by the HR (most likely). Don't count on Harang for the W with the Mets' anemic offense, but he should help your ERA and WHIP and even strikeouts.
Avoid These Guys Tonight:
This is by no means a comprehensive list. It's three guys who might have seemed attractive in the recent past who we recommend avoiding tonight.
