Fantasy Aces DFS Advice: Week 3 NFL - Daily Fantasy Football Picks

Hey there RotoBallers! In this article I will be taking a look at some of my favorite FantasyAces DFS lineups plays for Week 3 of the NFL slate. These picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, and pricing on Fantasy Aces.

Let's get to the picks!

Editor's Note: Be sure to check out FantasyAces DFS contests for Week 3. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS), normally a $59.99 value. Expert DFS research, sample lineups, matchup ratings and lots more!

Quarterback Plays for Fantasy Aces

Matt Ryan (@ NO, $7,000)

Ryan is looking primed for a bounce back this season and will be taking on the swiss-cheese Saints pass defense on the fast track at the Superdome. Everyone knows about Julio Jones, who is THE WR1 this week considering his opponent. Add in a solid second option in Mohamed Sanu and the one-two punch of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman in the backfield and Ryan has more than his share of weapons to target. While he isn't cheap, Ryan has just as much upside as any other quarterback on the slate.

Marcus Mariota (vs. OAK, $6,000)

Mariota checks in as a nice value play option at quarterback this week. He gets to face off against a Raiders pass defense that has allowed a combined 819! passing yards through the first two weeks of the season. Enter Mariota, who has offered solid value through his first two games. Add a sprinkle of rushing upside from the mobile Mariota and he has a good shot at exceeding his value over on Fantasy Aces.

Running Back Plays for Fantasy Aces

Melvin Gordon (@ IND, $5,150)

Gordon is set to take over a three-down role with pass-catcher extraordinaire Danny Woodhead lost for the year. Gordon's pricing hasn't yet been adjusted to reflect his new bell cow role in the San Diego offense. As an added bonus, he is set to take on the Colts, which is one of the top matchups in the league for opposing running backs. Through two weeks of the season, the Colts rank 31st in the league in DVOA according to metrics on Football Outsiders. He's going to be a popular play this week, but rightfully so.

Theo Riddick (@ GB, $4,400)

Riddick is in a similar situation as Gordon as he is expected to inherit a much larger role starting in Week 3 following the loss of Ameer Abdullah. The exact number of touches he will get as Detroit's starting running back is still slightly in question, but the workload he sees in the passing game should keep his floor high. Riddick has seen 10 targets over the first two weeks of the season while playing on just 50% of the snaps.

Wide Receiver Plays for Fantasy Aces

Julio Jones (@ NO, $6,500)

Jones, as mentioned above in the Matt Ryan section, has an amazing matchup with a weak Saints pass defense Week 3. While Jones has been dinged up a bit at the beginning of the season, he hasn't been dealing with anything too serious. If your intention is to pay up for a top receiver this week, Jones is shaping up as the option to target. The Saints have been quite generous to opposing number one receivers so far this season, coughing up eight catches for 86 yards to Odell Beckham and six receptions for 137 yards to Amari Cooper. Beckham, by the way, dropped a touchdown in Week 2 or he would have had a much bigger game.

Marvin Jones (@ GB, $4,800)

Jones settles in as a top value option over at Fantasy Aces, where his $4,800 price tag does not line up with his role as Detroit's number one receiver. Jones has been far and above the top target in the Lions' passing game, seeing 21 targets over the first two games of the year. That is good for a 27% piece of Matthew Stafford's target share. With Green Bay's top corner Sam Shields likely to miss Week 3's contest with a concussion, look for Jones to have another strong showing.

Tight End Play for Fantasy Aces

Eric Ebron (@ GB, $4,250)

Ebron has been flying under the radar a bit, but he's been putting up a relatively productive season so far in the early going. He has already seen 12 targets through the first two games and should have had a touchdown in Week 2, but the play was called back on a pass interference penalty. Ebron has both high upside and a relatively cheap price on Aces, which makes him a top consideration for this weekend.
