Fantasy 101

Rotoballer writer Richard King is proud to introduce "Fantasy 101" - his new book which aims to bring fantasy football knowledge to the masses. Grab the final copy this offseason on Amazon now!

Fantasy Football is a fantastic game to play. It brings friends together throughout the season and keeps that contact with one another. As you may have realized by now (especially if you follow me on Twitter) I'm based in the UK, where NFL and fantasy football, in particular, is growing. However, with more new people getting into the sport it can be hard for beginners to find something to help them get up and running quickly. Equally, it can be hard for casual players to improve their knowledge and start looking at the game in more detail. As for hardcore players? They want in-depth information and plenty of it.

That's why I wrote my new book: Fantasy 101. It is now available on Amazon and directly from King Fantasy Sports as an ebook. From Amazon, you can get a kindle version ($9.99), a black and white paperback ($19.99), as well as a full-color version ($25.00) whereas directly, we offer some bundle deals.

So for less than the cost of a couple of beers with friends, you can grab a book that you can use to help you dominate your league for this season and beyond!

Fantasy 101

Around about the time of my birthday in December, I wanted to start a new project during the offseason. So I thought why not write a new guide that will get players up and running while providing great value for money. I opened up a Google Doc, and Fantasy 101 was born!

The premise of the book is to provide people with a timeless source of information and to build it up from the ground up. Ideas like Value-Based drafting have been around for years, but can often be applied incorrectly, while new metrics of information that can truly help get you ahead of the curve are included.

I was lucky enough to have a decent network of people that I could pull on, including some of our very own Rotoballers! Both Antonio Losada and Ben Rolfe were kind enough to write sections of the book, and I was able to get FSWA award-winning writer Bob Lung to do an introduction to consistency.

The main features of the book are:

  • Getting your league up and running (the right way)
  • Getting ready for your draft
  • Preparing your draft strategy
  • Creating your own projections
  • Understanding the value of each position
  • Consistency (and why it matters)
  • Value over Starter Metric
  • Value-Based Drafting (what it is and how to apply it)
  • Running Back Redzone report
  • In-depth rookie profiles
  • Tiered cheatsheets
  • How to manage your team in-season (including the playoffs)
  • An introduction to Daily Fantasy Sports
  • HUGE jargon buster, so you know what people are talking about on Twitter.

Our basic package of just the book starts at £10, with our popular MVP package costing £20. The MVP package includes our projections tool, and stats database (individual game splits for all players with target and rushing share for games dating back to 2015). All of the tools are fully-customizable spreadsheets, so suit any league style or scoring! Use code ROTOBALLER at checkout and get a huge 20% off your order.

If you have any other questions on the book, please reach out to me- I'd be happy to answer any questions you have on it.

Best of luck for the season!

Rich
