It's safe to say things didn't go as planned for many fantasy managers in Week 1, especially since many top-ranked options heading into the 2023-24 campaign didn't deliver. The Bengals, for instance, were limited to only three points during the AFC North loss to the Cleveland Browns. Opening Week was also loaded with injuries.
Travis Kelce didn't play in the Thursday night loss to the Lions, and J.K. Dobbins suffered an Achilles tear, ending his year. Of course, the most significant news piece surrounded Aaron Rodgers, who limped off the field after only a few plays in his debut as a Jet. Unfortunately, like Dobbins, Rodgers also tore his Achilles, likely extinguishing any Super Bowl hopes for New York this season.

FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 2 DFS Lineup Picks
Patrick Mahomes - @ JAX ($9,000)
Patrick Mahomes had trouble getting anything going against the Lions last Thursday. While he had at least one completion to 11 different players on the roster, being without his favorite pass-catcher, Travis Kelce, wasn't an ideal scenario. Kelce has practiced in a limited fashion during the week, so there's a chance he may play in Week 2 versus the Jaguars.
But even if the All-Pro tight end isn't on the field, Mahomes might thrive in this one, especially considering Jacksonville had issues slowing down rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Joe Burrow - vs. BAL ($7,400)
Joe Burrow had a rough outing versus the Browns in Week 1. Although fantasy managers knew there was a chance that the signal-caller wouldn't be at full strength, he produced much less than anticipated. With that miserable showing behind Burrow, DFS participants should look for him to get back on track for the clash with the Ravens.
He has thrown for over 300 yards and nearly two touchdowns in his five regular-season encounters with Baltimore over the years. While past results don't predict future success, it would be uncharacteristic for Burrow not to bounce back in Week 2.
Also Consider: Josh Allen ($9,200), Justin Herbert ($8,200), Trevor Lawrence ($7,800)
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 2 DFS Lineup Picks
AJ Dillon - @ ATL ($7,000)
Aaron Jones was the top fantasy running back in Week 1. Unfortunately, he tweaked his hamstring and may not play for the NFC meeting with the Falcons. Even if Jones does suit up, he could be limited, meaning AJ Dillon could benefit in either scenario. Although Dillon's $7,000 rostering cost is up there, it's still a value when considering his potential versus Atlanta. Keep an eye on this situation.
David Montgomery/Jahmyr Gibbs - vs. SEA ($6,300, $5,800)
The Seahawks dropped their first game of the 2023-24 campaign, losing to the Rams 30-13. Many had assumed Seattle would have no trouble getting past a Cooper Kupp-less LA squad. However, that wasn't the case. The matchup stayed close throughout three quarters.
Ultimately, Los Angeles got it done on the ground to pick up their first win of the season. While the Seahawks allowed Kyren Williams and Cam Akers to combine for 81 rushing yards, the pair accounted for three touchdowns. David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs demonstrated how potent of a one-two punch they could be, so rolling with both in Week 2 isn't a bad way to go.
Joshua Kelley - @ TEN ($6,300)
Austin Ekeler had one hell of a regular-season opener versus the Miami Dolphins. He finished with 117 rushing yards and one touchdown off 16 carries while adding four catches catches for 47 yards. But he's battling an ankle injury, jeopardizing his availability for the Week 2 duel against the Titans.
If Ekeler is downgraded from doubtful to out, Kelley would be the Bolts' No. 1 option out of the backfield. He looked great in Week 1. While Kelley couldn't surpass the 100-yard rushing mark, he received five carries in the Red Zone, one of which resulted in a score.
Also Consider: Christian McCaffrey ($9,500), Derrick Henry ($8,300), James Conner ($6,400), Rachaad White ($6,200) Dameon Pierce ($6,000)

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 2 DFS Lineup Picks
Ja'Marr Chase - vs. BAL ($8,400)
Undoubtedly, Ja'Marr Chase struggled in the AFC North clash with the Browns, leaving many fantasy managers frustrated. The wideout caught only five of his nine targets and had only 39 yards to show for it. More impressively, the Browns defense kept Tee Higgins from grabbing any of his eight targets.
Cincinnati had some things going against them in Week 1. The weather was horrible. At the same time, Joe Burrow missed nearly all of training camp with a calf issue. Nonetheless, the Ravens defense, specifically its secondary, doesn't scare anyone, so it is reasonable to believe Chase will return to Pro Bowl form.
Keenan Allen - @ TEN ($7,800)
Keenan Allen caught six of his nine targets for 76 yards during the high-scoring affair with the Miami Dolphins. The wideout draws a favorable matchup under normal circumstances in Week 2. Yet, not having Austin Ekeler could result in a few additional targets for the Allen versus a Titans defense that couldn't keep Derek Carr from throwing over 300 yards.
Puka Nacua - vs. SF ($5,800)
Puka Nacua is dealing with an oblique issue and missed some practice time during the week. However, Sean McVay reported that the 22-year-old will play in the Week 2 game against the 49ers. He had a monster performance in his first professional appearance, pulling in 10 grabs for 119 yards. Nacua was also targeted 15 times in that one, so he should continue to be involved as long as Cooper Kupp remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Also Consider: Amon-Ra St. Brown ($8,100), Stefon Diggs ($8,000), Davante Adams ($7,500), Tee Higgins ($7,000), Chris Godwin ($6,300)
FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 2 DFS Lineup Picks
Travis Kelce - @ JAC ($8,500)
Travis Kelce sat out Week 1 after hyperextending his knee during practice. Patrick Mahomes suffered without him on the field. However, barring a setback, Kelce should be in the lineup on Sunday against the Jaguars. He'll need to make up for lost time, so DFS managers should expect plenty of involvement. For now, the veteran remains questionable.
Sam LaPorta - vs. SEA ($5,100)
Sam LaPorta caught all five targets in the Week 1 upset over the Kansas City Chiefs. Although he finished with only 39 receiving yards, he could continue to get attention from Jared Goff. Laporta isn't an ideal cash option. However, he may potentially smash his value in Week 2 versus Seattle for those looking for a tournament option.
Also Consider: Evan Engram ($6,000)
