FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (3/6/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Welcome back, RotoBallers, to another edition of my FanDuel NBA DFS picks. We have a large ten-game slate on tap tonight with a number of great plays and some great games to target for DFS.

We don't have all the Vegas totals yet due to injury uncertainty, but we already have three games with totals in the 230 range and another massive total game sitting at 245 as the Hawks and Wizards do battle in Washington. That game features two of the top teams in pace and two of the worst defensive rated teams in the league and should be a popular one on tonight's slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/6/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Find me in the NBA Chat Room or @ThunderDanDFS on Twitter.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Ricky Rubio - PG, PHO vs. POR ($7,000)

The Suns are going to likely be without their star center Deandre Ayton and have already lost another core piece in Kelly Oubre Jr. for the season. With those two off the floor (and Cameron Johnson, too), Rubio has a solid 23% usage rate and averages well over a fantasy point-per-minute. This season he has shredded the Blazers defense to the tune of fourteen points, eight rebounds, and thirteen assists across two games. This price is very appealing for a player of Rubio's caliber. He has legit triple-double upside tonight against this Blazers team that still struggles to contain pass-first point guards.

Terrence Ross - SG, ORL @ MIN ($5,200)

I absolutely love the Magic tonight and I'll probably have at least two or three Orlando guys in my lineups tonight as they are implied for twelve more points than their season average and are being paced up by Minnesota. Ross has been awesome over his last seven games, averaging over twenty-three actual points and playing thirty minutes off the bench. He scored thirty-five points on Wednesday night but didn't register a single peripheral stat, which was fluky. I expect him to have another big night against this Minnesota defense, especially if Evan Fournier (doubtful) ends up missing.

Kevin Huerter - SG, ATL @ WAS ($5,000)

Like I mentioned in the opener, this game between Washington and Atlanta has a massive total, fast projected pace, and two very bad defenses. It's a recipe for fantasy gold! While Trae Young and John Collins are solid targets, I'm honing in on some of the cheaper pieces of Atlanta's attack tonight, and that includes the three-point assassin, Kevin Huerter. He's posted 46 and 34 FanDuel points in his last two games is simply too cheap for solid shooter who is playing 30+ minutes in this kind of game environment.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Semi Ojeleye - SF, BOS vs. UTA ($3,900)

With Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward out of the lineup on Wednesday, Ojeleye played thirty minutes off the bench and racked up thirty-five FanDuel points. With Boston being short-handed on the wings again tonight, we should expect Ojeleye to be forced into a lot of minutes and therefore I expect him to be a popular value play for cash games. I like the idea of punting one small forward spot here and saving some salary to spend-up at other positions.

Trey Lyles - PF, SA @ BKN ($5,200)

Lyles was a chalky bust on Wednesday night but should have another opportunity to bounce back tonight against the Nets since both LaMarcus Aldridge and Jakob Poeltl remain out for the Spurs. Targeting the Nets with big men this season has been a profitable strategy and I think we can get Lyles at significantly lower ownership than the last few slates given the number of other good options at the position and some good old recency bias.

Kristaps Porzingis - PF, DAL vs. MEM ($9,400)

While Domantas Sabonis should be a popular pay-up at the power forward position (and for good reason), I simply can't ignore what Porzingis is doing lately. He's been a shot-blocking beast, swatting ten shots over his last two games and posting 75 and 67 FanDuel points in those games. Luka Doncic was out for one of those games, but Porzingis has played well even with Doncic in the lineup and Memphis is a great matchup for big men.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Vucevic- C, ORL @ MIN ($8,400)

I really love this spot for Vucevic tonight as Minnesota continues to struggle against skilled big men while their young star center Karl-Anthony Towns remains out. I expect the offense to run through Vucevic and fellow big man Aaron Gordon, especially if Evan Fournier misses this game. He's been great since the All-Star break, and most recently posted 48 and 53 FanDuel points against Portland and Miami, respectively. The Orlando big man should dominate against the undersized Minnesota frontcourt and I expect another big outing from him tonight.
