Welcome to NBA Saturday night. We have just five games on the board with a ton of different options to pay up for. We're looking at Ben Simmons being questionable and a ton of other injuries to pay attention to. While it may not be the biggest slate we've seen, there seems to be more than the usual amount of options to consider.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/22/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

FanDuel DFS Guards
Luka Doncic - PG, DAL @ ATL ($10,000)
Doncic got back to his typical playing time last time out, playing 34 minutes just last night. He's fully cleared to play and the matchup with the Atlanta Hawks couldn't be much better. On the season, Atlanta ranks 21st against the point guard position, but they play fast and Trae Young will have to switch off of Doncic for most of this game. The back-to-back set may scare some off of Luka, but I expect him to play around 32-24 minutes once again. Doncic is cheaper than both Russell Westbrook and Trae Young on FanDuel and there's no good reason to support that. He's been fully cleared to play and 50+ fantasy points is a fair expectation in the fast-paced matchup.
Donovan Mitchell - SG, UTA vs. HOU ($6,900)
Mitchell is priced down on FanDuel under $7k and I love this matchup with the Houston Rockets. He’s undoubtedly disappointed of late, but Mitchell is locked into his 32-35 minutes and he’s the primary ball-handler for this Jazz squad. They’re playing up in pace against the Rockets and Mitchell posted 36 fantasy points in the same matchup two weeks ago. At his price, I’m a fan in both cash games and tournaments.
Kevin Huerter - SG, ATL vs. DAL ($4,500)
Huerter is clearly mispriced in FanDuel at $4,500 and the matchup with Dallas is a great one. They rank in the middle of the road against the position, but I expect Huerter to see more ball action with Doncic draped on Young. He’ll likely be one of the more popular plays on the slate, but it’s chalk I’m willing to eat and plan on being different elsewhere.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Kelly Oubre - SF, PHO @ CHI ($6,000)
Giannis is in play at small forward and he holds the highest raw projection on the slate. You don’t need me to tell you that. We’ll instead look at Kelly Oubre Jr., who’s too cheap and in a great matchup with Chicago. The Bulls rank 27th against small forwards and Oubre has an extremely safe role on the Suns. He hasn’t had a huge game in quite some time, which should keep ownership down considerably. He’s another guy who’s priced too low on FanDuel and you can deploy Oubre in all formats.
Thaddeus Young - PF, CHI vs. PHO ($5,700)
Power forward is easily one of the worst positions on the slate, if not the worst. There are a few expensive options to consider, but we’ll look at the best value at the position in Thaddeus Young. He’s locked into 30+ minutes with the Bulls extremely short-handed and has an excellent matchup with the Suns. Young hasn’t been under 20 fantasy points in over a month and he typically sits around 30. I love this spot here and don’t care how heavily owned he is.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Joel Embiid - C, PHI @ MIL ($10,100)
Embiid declared himself the best player in the league recently and he’s not far-off when at the top of his game. The problem is the inconsistency, though it certainly seems like he’s hitting a groove down the stretch. The Bucks play extremely fast and Embiid will be needed to score if the Sixers want to keep it close. If you have the funds to pay up, Embiid has a good shot at 60-70 fantasy points.
Rudy Gobert - C, UTA vs. HOU ($8,200)
Gobert is priced down on FanDuel to $8.2k and this is a great matchup for him to have his typical 50 fantasy points. He’s over 35 fantasy points every game, so the safety is there as well in cash games. If you can’t get up to Embiid, Gobert is a phenomenal pivot in all formats.
