FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (2/13/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Trae Young - Atlanta Hawks

Justin Carter highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/13/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Just four games on the main slate tonight, three of which have some fairly close spreads.

The closest are Pacers (-1.5) at the Hawks and the Rockets at the Knicks (-0.5). Brooklyn is four-point favorites against the Warriors, while the Jazz have the largest spread, being six-point home favorites against Miami.

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/13/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on Rotoballer’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel DFS Guards

James Harden, SG - @ GSW ($10,300)

While the return of Kevin Durant could impact Harden's top-end production and it should be noted that Harden averages 1.09 points per possession with Durant on the floor and 1.22 with Durant off the floor, I still like this matchup. The Warriors allow 41.8 FanDuel points per game to the shooting guard position and Harden is always capable of putting up a triple double.

Trae Young, PG - vs. IND ($10,200)

Even though this is a back-to-back, Young should be fresh after playing just 23 minutes last night. He's scored 20 or more points in 12 consecutive games, including 38 or more three times in that span. Young's an elite scoring threat and the Pacers are allowing teams to shoot the eighth-highest three-point field goal percentage in the NBA this season. I'm expecting to see some strong things from this Hawks team as they look to rebound from a pretty disappointing Friday night.

Andrew Wiggins, SG - vs BKN ($6,800)

The Nets allow the third-most points per game in the league while the Warriors themselves allow the 10th-most. This game has shootout written all over it, which is why I'll be targeting it pretty heavily. The Nets allow the fifth-most FanDuel points per game to shooting guards, and Wiggins has scored double-digit points in every game this season, even if he's had some nights where the efficiency wasn't there. While his floor is a little lower than I might like, I'm fairly high on Wiggins Saturday.

Also consider: Donovan Mitchell ($8,300), Elfrid Payton ($5,100), Malcolm Brogdon ($7,200)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Bam Adebayo, PF - @ UTA ($8,700)

You'd be forgiven for avoiding Adebayo because of concerns about this matchup with the Jazz. But while Utah is a good defensive team, I think you can get a little edge by going with Adebayo on a night where people might be pivoting off of him. Over the past 11 games, Bam is averaging 20.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per night. Utah allows the 12th-most points per game to power forwards, so Adebayo's matchup isn't quite as bad as it might look to the naked eye, and while the Jazz don't let PFs get blocks -- fifth-fewest in the NBA -- I don't really think Bam needs to pile up the blocks to be effective tonight.

Julius Randle, PF - @ HOU ($8,600)

With Mitchell Robinson fracturing his hand on Friday, Randle's going to be all over the boards for the Knicks tonight. Houston allows opponents to grab the fourth-most rebounds in the NBA, and Randle is coming off an 18-rebound night against the Wizards. I'm a little more hesitant on his scoring, but he should provide enough of that against this Rockets team to make him a strong DFS play, with the rebounding numbers pushing him over the edge.

Kelly Oubre Jr., SF - vs GSW ($6,600)

As mentioned above, this game looks like it can be one with a lot of offensive firepower. Oubre has taken five or more three-pointers in five consecutive games and should be primed foe one of his best games of the year. While early on there were concerns about his role on this team, he's back to being a 30-minute guy who takes more than a dozen shots per night.

Also consider: John Collins ($7,800), RJ Barrett ($5,300), Jae'sean Tate ($5,600)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Clint Capela, C - vs. IND ($7,500)

I'll say this: I don't love this slate when it comes to center, but I had to pick a couple of guys to write about.

For Capela, I like that the Pacers allow the 13th-most rebounds per game. I don't like that they allow the seventh-worst two-point field goal percentage per game, but I do like that Capela's own efficiency is usually really high, including shooting over 62 percent in four of the past five games. I think that gives him a nice floor tonight, and I'd rather bet on his upside than on Rudy Gobert's upside if I'm trying to decide between the two of them.

DeMarcus Cousins, C - @ NYK ($6,200)

Assuming Christian Wood (ankle) remains sidelined, Cousins should be back in the starting lineup and carries with him some solid upside. Over the four games without Wood, Cousins is averaging 11.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 43.2 percent from the floor. He's also adding 1.8 threes per game, plus 1.3 steals and 0.8 blocks. In other words, Cousins is giving you some solid production with double-double upside. I wouldn't be excited about playing Cousins, but with the Knicks allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing centers, this is the kind of game where Cousins makes more sense than pretty much any other center on this short slate.

Also consider: Kelly Olynyk ($5,100), Rudy Gobert ($8,600)
