We're set for a typically robust eight-game slate Monday night, one that features plenty of big-name, high-salary options and three games with projected totals of greater than 220 points as of Monday morning.
Oddsmakers are also projecting a mostly competitive night, with only one contest having a point spread larger than six points. That's good news for those looking for a little assurance that the players they invest the heaviest amounts of capital in will be on the floor for a full allotment of minutes. We also have a solid number of appealing mid-range and value options to consider Monday, affording the ledger a strong, all-around fantasy outlook.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/8/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Luka Doncic, PG – vs. NOP ($10,200)
Doncic checks in with an average of 45.2 FD points per contest and has started to pick it up on the scoring front, as evidenced by his pair of 33-point tallies in the last three contests. The 22-year-old has scored between 48.3 and 50.6 FD points in three of his past four games overall, and he draws an excellent matchup against a Pelicans squad that's allowing the sixth-most FD points per game (49.1) to point guards, along with the highest offensive efficiency (31.9 percent) to the position on the season. It's also worth noting this is a matchup Doncic thrived in last season, putting up 50.6 and 76.6 FD points in his two encounters with New Orleans.
LaMelo Ball, PG – at LAL ($8,700)
Foul trouble nipped Ball on Sunday against the Clippers, but he still put up 40.9 FD points across just 31 minutes. That figure is also Ball's FD-points average for the season, and he's now scored at least 40 FD points in five straight contests. The surging point guard gets another appealing matchup Monday night, as the Lakers come in allowing the second-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (31.0 percent), along with an NBA-high 54 FD points per game to the position. What's more, that latter figure is the byproduct of Los Angeles ranking in the bottom six in points, assists, made threes and steals surrendered to ones, giving the versatile Ball no shortage of paths to fantasy success.
Kyle Lowry, PG – at DEN ($6,200)
Lowry is coming off a spectacular triple-double against the Jazz on Saturday night that saw him net a season-high 51.4 FD points, and he's also produced tallies of 38 and 40.5 FD points over his last four games. The veteran therefore appears to be hitting his stride in the Heat's scheme after a so-so start, and he'll be primed for another potential salary-busting performance Monday. The opposing Nuggets have been very tough defensively at home, but they check in giving up the seventh-highest offensive efficiency to point guards (26.2 percent), along with the fourth-most FD points per contest (49.5) to the position.
Also consider: Chris Paul ($8,300)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Anthony Davis, PF- vs. CHA ($10,600)
First and foremost, Davis' status has to be monitored carefully throughout the day, as in addition to his thumb injury, he was also sick during Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers and played just seven minutes. He'll hopefully be feeling better all the way around 48 hours later, and if so, he makes for an excellent option against a Hornets frontcourt he should be able to have his way with. Charlotte comes in allowing the highest offensive efficiency to frontcourt players (90.1 percent), along with 47.1 FD points per game to power forwards. The Hornets are also yielding the third-highest offensive efficiency in the paint (63.2 percent), making it an excellent all-around environment for Davis, who'd be taking the floor again without LeBron James (abdomen) as well.
Kristaps Porzingis, PF – vs. NOP ($7,100)
Porzingis finally returned from his back injury Saturday night against the Celtics and immediately racked up 40.4 FD points across 27 minutes. The big man therefore appears back to full health, and like his teammate Doncic, finds himself in an enviable fantasy matchup. The Pelicans will have trouble with Porzingis' size down low and already check in allowing the fifth-highest offensive efficiency in the paint (60.7 percent), along with the 10th-highest offensive efficiency to power forwards (26.0 percent). New Orleans is also giving up the fourth-highest shooting percentage (47.8) and three-point percentage (38.3), furthering Porzingis' chances of a big night.
Bogdan Bogdanovic, SF – at GS ($4,800)
Bogdanovic is still seeing more fluctuations in his fantasy production than ideal, but his very modest salary accounts for such and he also boasts a ceiling north of 30 FD points, making him an intriguing value play for tournaments. The veteran wing has scored over 20 FD points in six of his last seven contests, and he's shooting an outstanding 41.2 percent from three-point range. A drop in overall usage -- Bogdanovic is putting up just 10.0 shot attempts per contest after averaging 12.8 last season -- is partly to blame for his so-so average of 22 FD points per game, but he should be aggressive against the Warriors, which will bring a big bump in pace considering they're averaging the fifth-most possessions per contest (105.6).
Also consider: Harrison Barnes ($7,400)
FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Joel Embiid – vs. NYK ($9,300)
Embiid is slated to once again take the floor without Tobias Harris (COVID-19 protocols) and could also be down Danny Green (hamstring) again in terms of first-unit mates. The big man just put up 52.5 FD points in 34 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday night despite it being his third game in four nights and should have an opportunity to deliver another strong return on his reduced salary Monday. The Knicks are allowing the 12th-highest offensive efficiency to centers (32.6 percent) and 53.5 FD points per game to the position as well, and they're also ranked in the bottom 10 in offensive efficiency allowed in the paint (59.9 percent).
Jonas Valanciunas – at DAL ($8,500)
Valanciunas has been outstanding all season, and he comes in averaging a hefty 43.1 FD points per contest partly on the strength of eight consecutive double-doubles. The big man draws a very appealing matchup against the Mavs as well, because even though Porzingis is back in the fold for Dallas, Valanciunas should still get plenty of one-on-one time with Dwight Powell down low. Dallas is allowing the third-most FD points per game to centers (59.4) and is ranked in the bottom five in points (24.3) and rebounds (18.2) surrendered to the position. Valanciunas could well be taking the floor without Brandon Ingram (hip) as well, and he's already boasting a 26.1 percent usage rate and averaging 47.3 FD points per 36 minutes without his teammate this season.
Frank Kaminsky – at SAC ($4,300)
Deandre Ayton has already been ruled out for Monday night with a lower leg injury, which should mean extended run for Kaminsky again. The floor-spacing big man has a pair of 29-minute allotments in his last three games and has produced with them, posting 39.1 and 31.2 FD points in those contests. Kaminsky has shot an impressive 66.7 percent in those games as well, including 60.0 percent from distance. Meanwhile, the Kings have been facilitators of prolific fantasy production for centers, allowing the second-most FD points per game (61.8) and fourth-highest offensive efficiency (37.6) to the position, along with an NBA-high 21.0 rebounds per contest to fives as well.
Also consider: Nikola Vucevic ($7,700)
