FanDuel DFS Guards
James Harden - SG, HOU @ MIN ($12,700)
Russell Westbrook is going to sit for this game, so Harden is going to shoot the ball 25+ times and has a fantasy point floor of 60. It’s really that simple. The Timberwolves play fast and there isn’t a defender in basketball that worries me against Harden. Caris LeVert is super good on Harden, and he still gets toasted when Harden is hitting his shots. He’s unstoppable. This T-Wolves team is certainly not going to slow him down and you’re playing with fire if you fade. With that being said, he’s super expensive and in a tournament, you can do it.
Kendrick Nunn - G, MIA vs. NO ($5,400)
The Heat already play fast and now they’re facing the fastest team in basketball in the Pelicans. Kendrick Nunn has hit his stroke again, playing 36 and 37 minutes in the last two games to put up 33 and 45 fantasy points. Nunn isn’t afraid to shoot the ball and his upside is huge if he can get hot. The Pelicans play fast and will leave plenty of shots open for Nunn. It’s just a matter of whether he can sink them or not.
Austin Rivers - G, HOU @ MIN ($4,500)
With Westbrook active last night, Austin Rivers played 30 minutes. With Westbrook out, I wouldn’t be surprised to see 35+ minutes out of Rivers out of necessity. With Eric Gordon and Danuel House already hurt, the Rockets are extremely thin at guard and Rivers is at least serviceable. He’s not afraid to shoot and the upside is huge at his given price. I wouldn’t fade Austin Rivers in any format.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
LaMarcus Aldridge - PF, SA vs. POR ($7,900)
Ho-hum, I know LMA isn’t the most exciting roster, but he’s hitting value every single game and nobody seems to want to play him. At $7,900, the 50+ point upside from Aldridge would break the slate. He’s thought of as a guy with no upside, but it’s just not true. LMA can still put up 30 points and 15 rebounds, as evidenced by his 58 fantasy point performance just a week ago. He’s always going to give the Blazers his best shot and the price is just too low for every format.
T.J. Warren - SF, IND vs. MIL ($6,000)
The Bucks play fast and T.J. Warren thrives in the open floor. His price is down and he’s been rather consistent to start the season. Sure, an occasional stinker, but he’s putting up 35 fantasy points consistently in good match-ups. With Khris Middleton injured, the Bucks have been a lot worse defensively as a team. Warren should get you to 30 fantasy points and will likely be under 25% owned. Small forward is the weakest position on this slate.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Karl-Anthony Towns - C, MIN vs. HOU ($11,500)
With Wiggins missing the game last night, it’s fair to expect another night needed by him to get it back together. Towns only played 33 minutes last night, as the game was a blowout and the coaching staff knew what was ahead. Tonight, Towns faces off with the fast-paced Rockets and does so as the number one and two scoring option. Capela is also out, so the Rockets don’t have anyone to cover Towns that can actually do so. Towns and Harden are my favorite plays on the slate.
