FanDuel DFS Guards
Russell Westbrook - PG, HOU vs. NO ($10,200)
Westbrook looked amazing next to Harden in game one and I’m releasing any worries I had about either of them. Against the fast-paced Pelicans, they are two of the top plays on the entire slate. I do prefer Harden in raw points, but he is more expensive and Westbrook could easily go for 60+ here. The Pelicans not only lack a defensive interior, but they’re on a back to back and played healthy minutes last night. The Rockets are going to carve these guys up and Westbrook will likely get a triple-double.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker - SG, NO @ HOU ($3,600)
Jrue Holiday has been announced as out for this game tonight, which is going to open up a ton of opportunity for these Pelicans. E'Twaun Moore may get the start, but NAW is going to play 25+ minutes and is a stone-cold lock for value at $3,600. The Rockets play fast and so do the Pelicans, which is why the total is sitting at 230 here. You can play any of these New Orleans guards, but NAW is the top value play on the slate and I can't see any way he doesn't get 25 minutes on the court.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Kevin Love - PF, CLE vs. IND ($8,400)
Maybe this is an off the wall play, but Kevin Love is going to have a great game tonight. He wasn't very aggressive against the Magic in game one, but that should change tonight at home against a fast-paced Pacers squad. If Love has his three-point shot working tonight, the upside is huge. Even if his shot isn't working, a double-double is a lock and he won't kill you at that price. Indiana doesn't have much down low and Love will stretch Turner and Sabonis thin.
Brandon Ingram - SF, HOU vs. NO ($7,400)
Back to the Pelicans value. I could've filled this entire article with Pelicans. Lonzo Ball, J.J. Redick, Josh Hart, and Frank Jackson all get a boost and you can play them all. Ingram has played big minutes in each of the first two games and he's come through with 40+ fantasy points in both games. This should be his best shot at putting up a huge game with Holiday and Zion both out. The price isn't high enough on FanDuel to fade Ingram.
FanDuel DFS Centers
Andre Drummond - C, DET vs. PHI ($10,800)
With Joel Embiid out, Andre Drummond should eat against this weakened interior. With Blake Griffin out, Drummond is the entire offense and none of these guards have refused to feed him. It seems like the team is all on the same page that they're going to use Andre Drummond as much as possible. The Sixers are going to be one of the better defenses in basketball this year, but a lot of that has to do with Joel Embiid and his presence down low. Drummond is my favorite way to pay up on the slate and a stars and scrubs approach is a good idea tonight.
